53" Drambuie on Ice by MHZ. This boat was just completed and this was the first time it has ever been in the water. Was testing the center of gravity, the ability to turn, handling, checking temps ect. Hopefully have it out soon for some GPS speeds. Currently running some old Proteus 56mm motors with 12s per motor.

That was awesome to watch!
Thank you for saying that about batteries!! I really haven't noticed a big difference in power like they advertised. I use all type of brands and I have gotten better results with Zee's than smc at the similar C rating. Sometimes if smc is on sale lol you can get a good battery. Hobby king is another place for cheap priced lipos
Any chance u have a video on how to do this build ?? Like struts n how to install and motor mounts
What props are faster on that boat the super guico props or the super zonda props
Hello, love your channel. Subscribed. Not exactly new to boats, but I started racing Gas , OPS and K/B 3.5 -7.5cc in the late 70's early 80's. I was in my teens then. Life passed and now I"m 59 lol and wanting to dive back into boats. So much has changed. For a fun boat I was looking for a Traaax Spartan SR and a Pro boat, straight line a Zonda or Animal. I was looking at buying the Zonda from banggood but the set up doesn't look like your PRO set up. Happy to go offshore purchase if they could set up a Zonda like yours. It appears there's a lot of things that one has to deal with using electric. ESC's and motors getting too hot, Prop sizes ( that's a lot of fun experimenting ) water ingress, balance, battery size for equipment etc. looking forward to it all. Any tips would be appreciated. I thinking of a traaax Spartan SR as a first boat as it looks like a lot of fun on the water, Fast enough and can play with it. I can see myself eventually wanting a straight line drag boat too. Thank You.
What RTR model other than the pro oat would you recommend I get?
I would go to offshore electronics and look at what TFL offers. Offshore electronics also has a few of their own boats they sell as well.
How do I get in touch with Brian buaas?
I originally reached out to him on facebook, he's the only one the pops up when i search for him from Oregon
Those passes @7:11 holy $h!t. Have you checked your temps after a few passes? Curious to know those numbers.
that run was actually with some balanced and sharpened miss gieco proboat props, the temps don't get too bad at all with those. When i run the Super Zondas from Dasboata I can only run 1 or 2 passes and everything is hot
How to order
Amazing runs you guys! Love it. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely awesome!! What radio are you using and does it have telemetry with voice?
Its a Futaba 3PV. No telemetry. It's been a good radio and has awesome range. My only complaint is that the receivers are pricey and pretty sensitive to water.
@bryanhulsey406 I just returned the radiomaster mt12 bc of the learning curve is to much for what I need and no gps. I then purchased the Wfly x9s with voice telemetry and a built-in gps that says outlook the speed and voltage. The range is advertised as 600m I had the elrs mt12 and the receivers are very sensitive to water as well even after using CA glue on all the seams it still got destroyed after 2 uses. I got super frustrated with the radiomaster. So I'm excited about this new radio.
@@RDM3DLAB I'll have to give them a look. Hope you have good luck with it!
Hi. Beautiful zonda ! I just got one just like it from offshore electrics. They call it carbon zonda GT. But i have a problem , the flexshafts came too thick and once i pull them out for the first time which i had to do very slowly they wont get in ! I grease them very well , still they wont get inside....did this happened to you also ? Thanks .
no i did not have this issue, I would contact Ose. Sounds like there may be an issue with the teflon liner.
@@BoatsBrosRC ok. Mamy thanks !
The stock shafts are 2 pieces. Buy the 1 piece shafts from OSE. 80 bucks. Contact Steve at OSE, he owns it and he'll help you with anything you need. I flipped my zonda today at about 70 I'd guess. It was floating with the front tips up and was still running while completely submerged with the props still spinning as I retrieved it.
@@jcallesano thanks a lot , i already got the new flexshafts from offshore , does your zonda get some water inside after running it for 6-8 mins ? Mine does, its not much but a boat like this should not get any water inside the hull. I am greasing very well the shafts with marine grease , and the boat is in perfect condition .
@@eduardonessim4499 not that I ever notice with water. Maybe the stinger socket connection? Check all hoses to make sure they're tight in the boat.
Wowwww !!!! Where did you find the twin motor blackjack ? Are they selling it or did you built it yourselves ? How many mah 2X4S are you using ?
my brother built it himself, it is running a 6s battery on each motor.
@@BoatsBrosRC congrats to your brother !!! Awesome job .
1st rate 👍
I am thinking about just putting a small lexan window in the hatch for the GPS.
my bulgarian has a square that has no carbon in it that lets the gps signal through. works pretty well
@@BoatsBrosRC You must be having a lot of fun! That Bulgaren and Zonda are both great boats.
She sounds wicked and smooth SCBG4L
Are you running standard esc non water cooled on some of your boats ?
some of my boats have surface ESCs converted to watercooled.
Beautiful boat! That first flip was a surprise. Didn’t look like it was air underneath. Wave of something maybe.
Really enjoyed this video , i have the same Zonda as you from OSE and i was sure to buy the one piece flex shaft . I smiled when you talked about battery fitment . The only 6s battery that will fit in the sliding trays is these ZEEE 5200 , wasted a ton of money finding out the hard way . I wanted to use the SMC but i am not as brave as you by cutting the hull . I am able to get the ZEEE batteries strapped down on the trays . And wasnt surprised when you said there wasnt much difference between the SMC and the ZEEE , i dont own the SMC but they are known for accurate measurements , the ZEEE batteries have crazy high IR readings and a C rating thats not close yet not much difference between the SMC , yes weight is a big part but there is too much attention paid to IR and C ratings , all the companies exaggerate just some more then others even SMC so go by performance and put the claims aside .
my fastest recorded pass has been with ZEEE batteries. (117mph) I'm pretty sure I went faster the other day but unfortunately, I flipped and ripped the GPS off the top.
@@BoatsBrosRC ZEEE batteries get a bad wrap for inaccurate specs but you prove what i mention about performance is the final measure . The Gens Ace basher batteries perform real good too for a pair of 4s and the ESC like them too . Sorry to bother but did you get that connector that joins two 3s lipos together to send 6s to both ESC , connector works but creates heat .
@@waynesbutler7834 I got one of those connectors with both of my zondas and my miss gieco but i've never used them.
The 6s CNHL 6.0 G+plus 70c batteries fit in my zonda stock without trimming any carbon fiber. I put the 44 mm speed props on for the first time today and flipped it and had to kayak out to get it. Lol. Was floating with the tips up, hatch off and props still spinning by themselves. When my radio is off, they spin by themselves for some reason. I also have the harness that you run 2 3s batteries to make 6s, but the 2 6s batteries is by far superior
@@jcallesano Thanks so much for this , i am always looking for batteries that will fit without modding and i like CNHL batteries, spent alot of money on this experiment, thankfully they were from Amazon so returns real easy. I will give these batteries a shot. I put the 44mm high rake props from OSE , balanced , sharpened and polished on my boat and got 102 mph without flipping, batteries all the way forward running real wet at slow speeds. Stingers approx 1/8 of an inch above the level line across the bottom of the sponsons.
110 let's go! NEVER LIFT!
Awesome run
What the heck is going on in the background my man
that would be my kitten 😄 you can see him a bit at the 1 minute mark.
Love your work. Information you give is Gold. Thank you, keep up the great work. From Melbourne Australia. I have a twin Fightercat 41 with 1800kv motors. Would you still recommend the OSE 48 props? Cheers Michael
as long as your ESCs can handle the amps. I wouldn't run them very long. just a couple speed passes.
Thank you, will keep it in mind. Running 2 x XLX2 ESC’s. Just installed.
@@michaellidis1148 those ESCs are pretty tough, should have no problem with the 48mm props. could actually go bigger if you wanted to.
Thought this was gonna be about stock race boats.
I wish I built RTR boats for a living. Sorry if the video was misleading.
Awesome thanks for posting 👍
I secure my batteries the sma way you do i have ejectected a battery thruogh the front of the hull before .
it's crazy what can happen in a crash on the water, I've spit 2 hulls myself.
Cool video bro. I subbed for more awesome rc boat action😊
118 got to be the fastest animal twin out there and it only his full throttle for a split second. Man I hope you put up your set up. There are guys out there going really fast that help no one, I just unsubscribe them. The only comments those guys get is things like great run from their groupies. Ironclad Rc has the biggest subscriber following and he tries to help everyone and it helps improve our sport / hobby. Great work guys.
118mph pass was from the Bulgarian. The Animal ran 102MPH. We do plan on making more videos of it. The one we have is the ARTR animal V1.
Anyone ever complain
Kevin, we do most of our boating at Lucky Clover camp resort in Steelville, Mo and the owners love it! They let us have a big gathering there last summer for RC boats.
we're normally there on Sunday afternoons, the majority of the campers have already left for the evening. Them most of the others that are still there seem to enjoy watching.
You need a bigger pond
Indeed!
Nice collection of Cat's. Do you FILL/REENFORCE your Front Pontoon's Tips with Epoxy & Shredded Carbon Fiber Fiberglass ? Also, if you don't mind sharing do you RUN your Props...... inboard or outboard on your Cat's? I'll be keeping an eye on your channel.... THANKS
I have filled the tips on the fiberglass zonda but not the rest of them. The Bulgarians are a lot thicker and stronger than any RTR boat you will ever buy. The carbon zonda I feel like will eventually come apart but for now it has been holding up pretty well. For prop rotation the zondas, mti, and drambui turn outward. The animal, bulgarians, and twin bj turn inward.
@@BoatsBrosRC THANKS
Awesome sped runs
Twin BJ42 💪💪💪
AWESOME 💪💪
Great stuff love the channel
Thank you!
I have a fast cat called a Mystic114. They are very, very fast. But they also have to be perfectly balanced, or you will have blow overs.I run duel motors. I recently just upgraded motors to TP motors and castle xlx2 hydras.
Boats around 114cm are definitely more likely to take flight than my 145cm boat. But they can handle the flips a lot better, flipping a 145cm boat there's a good chance something will break.
Watching those cats takeoff like an airplane reminds me of why I don’t have them anymore,so frustrating
got to tune them to keep em planted.
I have a scale unlimited hydro which I'd like to ready for summer with a 2-stoke.
I had a 1/5 scale 2 stroke Hydro. one of the coolest looking boats I've had in my opinion. I just don't like dealing with the gas, getting it started and warmed up, and lugging that big sucker down to the water just to run maybe 35-40mph. I'll watch the gas guys all day long, cool boats but I prefer FE.
What's that Quattro boat? It's killer!! Where can I get one?
it is a bulgarian hull custom painted
Subbed. Awesome boats!
Absolutely awesome
I’ve pulled 17 kw out of the 3040. Very nice boats. Thanks for sharing
The black jack is a beautiful boat!
How do you find the boat after it sinks? I had one sink, never to be found.
Phoenixx, they don't fully sink. Keep the whole front of the boat stuffed with pool noodles and the front tips of the boat will still stay above water even if you do split the hull and it fills with water.
Looks like it's going to be a fantastic year
Could you share some more details about the black jack 42 twin build? I would love to do that to mine.
It all started from a wrecked Geico 36. Swapped motors and ESC's over the BJ. Bought motor mounts from OSE and mounted motor them the same disrance back as the Miss Geico. That way i could always just use Miss Geico flex shafts for replacements. Also uses Miss Geico drives out back. Had to do a little griding on them to raise them up higher but not a big deal.

Incredible work I'm so happy to see one flip from too much power. But I was hoping it had some self righting after it flipped I was hating thinking about water getting into the engine compartment while it was sitting there. Genius idea for the tug boat though 😅
BAD A$$ 🤘😎🤘
