Wind Of Change - Peter Frampton
From the first album I ever owned "Frampton Comes Alive" given to me as a Christmas gift from Linda Golden! This album is an all time best seller for the rock guitar cuts but for me now, the gold is in the acoustic set. One of the best ever for a live album IMO. This one is called "Wind Of Change" and it's just brilliant on all levels. Thanks Peter Frampton. I saw the original tour at the Palace Theatre with my grade school pal Brian Conlin.

Just found out that Karl Wallinger passed at only 66 years of age. His World Party albums Private Revolution (1986) and Goodbye Jumbo (1990) really resonated with me. Couldn't get enough. Such an amazing multi instrumentalist and terriffic songwriter who recorded and performed all of parts on these albums. This message still resonates today. Put it in the box and start driving.

Can't get enough of this freshly repaired Tascam M-216 mixer. The guitar is direct through channel one using just the saturation of the on board channel gain. Love this tone. No effects. Direct out to a Sony PCM D50.

I was looking around for my nylon string guitar and when I found it I discovered that my son Kyle had placed the strangest open tuning on it. I challenged myself to write a song without changing it and came up with "Making Plans". Hope you like it. You will never have to hear it again because I will never remember how this guitar is tuned.

Bravo! You need to splice in the firecracker blast at 0:58. I caught PF at the Beacon (3rd row center) during his FCA 35th anniversary tour. He played the original tour in order, so slightly different from the album, and then some of his later work. He is such a great live performer - smiles the whole time and truly enjoys what he is doing.

Thank you for the kind words. The guitar is a Larrivee LV-05 Mahogony cutaway. I love it for recording. It had terrible tuners which i recently replaced with a set of Grovers and I also replaced the original pickup with a fishman thinline piezo with an on board fishman pro-eq (discontinued). Mostly mic'd sound here tho.
