"Kitchener Stitch" is a fantastic way of hiding you seams - it looks exactly like knitted! I could have envoides sewing in this jumper - but the possibility of knitting the sleeves without the body of the jumper was much easier while knitting on the beach. The filming was funny - directly on the North sea beach in a typical German "Strandkorb" which protects you from either sun or/and wind.

My favorite CO is by crochet chain sts on a knitting needle ... here I`m showing the opening of it: in the next video I`m sewing the sleeve with kitchener sts to the body of "Happy Ringlets" jumper - Nepal. In the background you can hear the North Sea - for the filming there were no studio conditions ;-). @strickstrand

I love knitting the "Nepal" (Pascuali) in its lively huge palette of colors. It`s combined: linen, cotton and nettle. Gerd has chosen green and green blue colors for his jumper - what a contrast to my bright colored jumper out of "Cumbria" (Pascuali) in "summer colors". I love both combinations! Here you can see the green of dune gras, the moor, the sky reflected in a "lake" or a rain puddle on...

The first sleeve is going to be sown on with kitchener stitch ... videos with "opening the provisional CO" and "kitchener stitch" are following in the next days :-) BUT - you can knit the sleeves seamless to the body instead - I was knitting in the "Strandkorb" with not enough space for turning around the knitted piece... Mehrfarbig stricken im Strandkorb, bei Windstärke 5? mit Traum-Aussicht? Geht alles! Im Korb habe ich Körbchen für die jeweils zwei Farben hängen, meine Anleitung ist (leider nur fast) immer gegen das Wegfliegen gesichert. Erst einmal vor Jahren hat mir eine Möwe das Strickzeug weggeschnappt und ist einige Meter geflogen - das sah aus wie ein unförmiger Drache. @strickstrand

"Happy Ringlets" im StrickStrandDesign in Grüntönen aus Nepal von Pascuali - hier die ersten Anfänge, gestrickt in 5 Grün- bzw Blaugrüntönen. Es sind bereits über 400 Maschen auf der Nadel, es werden noch über 500 am Ende der Raglanpasse ...
