My TSX Wagon Ep 1 - Getting The Wagon
A bunch of people wanted me to do videos on the wagon, what I’ve done to it, how I got it, etc., so here is the first video of that little series
Thanks for watching, if there’s anything you want me to cover or make a video on, let me know in the comments

2012 Acura TSX Wagon transmission fluid and filter change
Переглядів 1,8 тис.6 місяців тому
I made another video on my dad’s 2010, where the filter was on top of the transmission. A lot of people were asking me to do another video showing the filter behind the transmission, so here it is If you have any questions, advice, or any suggestions for future tutorials, let me know in the comments Thank you for watching! TSX Wagon CW2 antenna swap with sedan antenna
Переглядів 3568 місяців тому
This is the same from 2011-2014 Acura wagons. I asked people about this awhile back and everyone said you had to drop the whole headliner, but thankfully that’s not actually the case and you don’t have to drop the whole headliner. The antenna I have is from a 2010 TSX sedan, and I would be willing to bet that other Honda/Acura antenna’s have the same fitment (but no promises!,) so do with that ...

2010 Acura TSX transmission fluid and filter change
Переглядів 10 тис.11 місяців тому
This works for 2009-2014 Acura TSX’s. One thing I forgot to mention is to take off the skid plate, which just requires a phillips screwdriver. My dad doesn’t have one on the car hence why I forgot. The filter is the worst part, and you have slim/nimble arms it becomes easier to bear by sticking your arm through the head cover and the stabilizer bar. If it becomes too difficult, it’s not hard to...
2012 Acura TSX Sport Wagon (CW2) Hatch interior plastic trim removal
Переглядів 672Рік тому
This works for 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 Acura TSX Sport Wagon CW2 and the CW3 chassis for the Accord Euro Tourer. From this you can reach the inner taillights for an inner taillight removal, the rear wiper motor for the rear wiper delete, and the license plate lights like I am replacing in this video. If you have any questions or any requests for other tutorials on these cars, please comment ...
I've watched this video 2 times already and think, Wow this is great work. Then I think about just trying to find a set already made for my 2010 which ain't easy. Really good tutorial. Thanks
@@supernosty1 you are welcome! I just bought some headlights off of eBay, they were relatively cheap
@dylancool8638 They came with the clear lenses for Gen 2?
@@supernosty1 yes, the lenses themselves are clear. I have 4 sets currently, and am repeating this process for people who don’t want to risk breaking the headlights open themselves
@dylancool8638 oh oh. Sounds like a business venture. I would like to know more.
@@supernosty1 that’s what I’m aiming for. If you’re interested, I have my Instagram I use @that_cool_wagon
Thanks for the video! 🎉
@@Tito36035 you are very welcome!
Just asking why not just change both of the filters including the one inside the transmission? which is more important, just take the pan off and you'll see it , nice job though!!
So why does the 2012 Acura TSX have a chrome Honda grill?
How do you remove the roof rails and where do you find the weather stripping to replace em?
@@LilDiabloRob you remove the caps on the front and back and middle of the rails, undo some 10mm nuts, and then take it off. 2014 Honda Odyssey roof rails fit right in, although you’d had to cut a few inches off
@ thank you so much!!!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you very much for the information literally a life saver !!
@@julianduvall9940 glad I could be of assistance!!
Could you do a video on the transmission cooler lines ? ... like the location of the tubes and how they route to the transmission cooler.
If you remove those lights you need just take off the plate on top on you lights and you save alot time
This is a great video - thanks Dylan!

Link to the clear reflectors on the headlight ? Fire work btw 🔥💪🏻
@@CarlitoK_em1 thank you! What do you mean by clear reflectors on the headlight? The lenses?
Where i can get the aftermarket intake?
@@sitandplay5647 it’s an HPS intake, check them out. They also have a short ram with a heat shield, but I believe this true cold air gets a little better performance
you still got your tsx till this day?
@@robertotwotimes5786 yes! My dad still drives it daily, I believe it’s been 30k miles since this video
This was a great video, tysm❤
@@b7_zammit262 glad I could help!
Do you have a part number for that oil filter?
Dude! Looks killer…. Is your car a Honda that you converted the front end over to a TSX? I’m planning on doing that. Do you have any idea what else I need other than… Bumper, headlights, grill, headlight supports, and grill inserts ?
@@AaronSkau thank you! It’s a TSX Wagon, the only things I’ve done to make it look like a euro Accord is just a rear badge and a front grill/badge, that’s it. The grill will fit right in with the TSX bumper too, no need to change the bumper unless it needs to be replaced. I’ve still got a lot more plans with the car, just need time and money😂
Thank you sir 🤙
@@raiantoledo3659 glad I could help!
Is a filter change even needed ?
@@LordVader2U highly recommended, you don’t want any of that junk recirculating in that transmission
Why is there a 'Honda' emblem on your Acura bumper?
@@mikekoontz8040 I needed to buy a new grill and bumper, and I liked the way the Honda grills looked better than the Acura’s “beak” grill
Doing this on my 02 TL, appreciate it bro! Looks good 🔥

Thanks for the information
Just found your channel. I also have a 2012 TSX SportWagon. Bone stock. Have always had the dealer do the trans fluid. They never did the filter in 130k miles. Same for my 2013 RDX with 183k miles. If I'm correct, that's the filter for the fluid return from the trans cooler, same as the RDX except for the location. I changed the trans solenoid for the 3rd gear clutch on the RDX as it was supposed to be a cure for a sometimes wonky 2-3 upshift on the 6-speed auto. Didn't do anything and was a waste of $53. I figured out where and when it acts up and just drive it accordingly. As for my SportWagon, best car i ever owned. Bought it when it was 3 years old from the dealer. Only thing that sucks is the black paint is shot (particularly on the front fascia and hood). Was looking for the euro-spec taillights but they are a fortune and hard to come by.
Hey I wanna to know where do you buy you oil filters for the transmission??
@@jorgebrown8420 you can buy them at any parts store, I got this one from the Honda dealership
@@dylancool8638 do you think it fine if i buy on Amazon?? Or it need to be form the dealer??

Love the car man! What's your suspension setup? I've got a 2011 TSX wagon, coming up on 200k.
@@benpatton8853 thank you! I’ve got BC Racing coilovers with Swift Springs, and an SPC rear camber kit
Looking for the part # and i keep getting 25430-R5L-003 is the correct part # instead of 25430-PLR-003 but they both look identical do you know if they are the same?
@@Daniellopez-di8wn a quick Google search and people are experiencing the same problem. The R5L specifies for a 2012 4 cylinder Accord, but the PLR fits in everything else. I believe either would work, but I’d go for the R5L just because it’s spec’d out for a 2012 2.4 Accord
@@dylancool8638 thank you
Man, that location freaking sucks
@@magicwaffl3z yes it does…but not impossible. I’d do it again lol
@dylancool8638 do you think the filter is also accessible from the wheel well if I take the wheel off?
@@magicwaffl3z I don’t think that’ll do much sadly. It’s like right on the back of the motor, and too far in to be reached from the wheel well
@@magicwaffl3zjust did mine through the wheel well. Couldn't see anything but got it done with only taking off the tire and belly pan.
@@magicwaffl3z thats how I did it, still was a bit of work
Damn it’s that easy ? 😂
@@alyxms5826 yup!!
@@dylancool8638you didn’t need to change the oil pan gasket ?
@@alyxms5826 thankfully no, this was just on the transmission, and I didn’t really need to work on the motor or the oil pan any
I’m coming up on 100k I’ve had to replace master cylinder @ 92k that was a surprise but back to normal now I’m going to do wiper delete next I got the 18 in tsx v6 wheels powered I like your style nice wagon

Double check the level. Owners manual and Service manual lists capacity at 2.6qt for atf fluid change.
@@chrisb15679 that’s odd…I don’t remember seeing 2.6qts in mine. I ran 3.5qts, like the people on the fb groups say, and I’ve checked the ATF a few times since this video and it’s still at the same level, which is in the optimal range
I have a 2011 i'll double check at work. I know the tsx v6 takes 3.3-3.5 for sevice. Wonder if they did some updates. 🤔
@@chrisb15679 tsx wagons only came in 4 cyl
Love the video. I remember the first time I ever found out about a TSX wagon was when I saw one in a nearby town as I was going to bible study. I freaked out when I saw it and had to snap a picture. At that moment, I knew this was gonna be my next car. After the transmission went out in my 2004 TL at 289,000 miles, I was on the hunt for a wagon. There were a couple on my radar from Philly to Washington DC. I finally settled on looking at one just outside of DC about 1.5 hours away. We were told is was at the shop having service done, but we walked across the street and saw it outside. I decided to walk around and new that I wasn't going to let this one slip away. After some talking with the bank and getting a loan approved, we drove down a second time and I was able to drive away in my dream daily driver. 3 years and some mod later, I wouldn't trade it for any other car. I'm so happy with mine, despite it's flaws and I am excited to see what I can do with it in the future.
@@Mixxsterr that’s an awesome story man!! Love it
✊🏾🔥 sick dude… love to see it.
@@iB3ty thanks bro!
Interesting that they changed the filter location within the CU2 model years. Even knowing where it is now, it doesn't make the swap any easier, but I'm giving it a shot. Thanks!
@@porkchopjr yeah the pre facelift was way better…but no problem! Good luck!
Hi , so it takes 3.5 quarts of ATF ?
@@thehegt yep!
when you said you felt some type of vibration around 25 to 30 mph, was it more of a sputter because that's what mine does. I have a 2009 TSX and thinking about changing the tranny fluid. Hopefully this fixes it
@@zero1fifty8 kind of, yeah. It certainly feels weird. I would definitely recommend a fluid change out
@@dylancool8638 what if your unsure of the last time the fluid was changed mind does the same thing but it’s pushing 200k should I leave it alone or change it? I don’t want to make it worse by changing it

Bro ,baked a headlight 😂😂. Looks nice 👍
Yeah it was super sketchy the first time😅 Thank you!
Glad Honda Switch to this design of filter. On later model. My 14 Acura RDX has this type. Alot better then the ATF warner filter on my 04 Accord EXV6 Sedan. 91k shifts so perfectly and smoothly.
I have a V6 verison of this car 2010 and I have been told that there is no filter that needs to be changed on that particular model. They said it had a screen.
Does this help with shifting? I have this same car and it’s been having a hard time switching gears…
Yes it does! The car shifts wayyyy smoother now

I got a white tsx wagon with 90k miles. Thanks for the video
You’re welcome! I did another video on my TSX wagon, the filter is in a different location on them compared to the 2010 TSX. It’s weird, but I do have an updated version on our wagons
Are the transmission sensors unique to the wagon?
Not sure about the transmission sensor, I would assume they’re the same as the sedan
Always a good day when Dylan posts a vid🔥
Thanks fam!
Love the car and video!! Just waiting for the big brake kit tutorial 😏
Hopefully gonna get to that soon! Need to roll my fenders, get some spacers, and order new brake pads and I should be set!
That’s clean
Thank you!
Just curious, is it crucial to replace the filter when you do the change?
Highly recommended, because you don’t want to chance any nasty stuff from that filter to be recirculated into the system
Hey where did you order the clear plastic replacement piece?
Got them on eBay! Here’s the link www.ebay.com/itm/285287728949?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=dxxfet6zrti&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=heknbrd3rwg&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
what strips did you use when you removed the roof rails?? odyssey ones??
Yes I did! From about a 2014 year model Here are the part numbers, it’s cheapest to pick it up from a dealer because shipping is crazy 74306-TK8-A01 74316-TK8-A01

Do you have to change the indicator (turn signal) bulb to a different colour?
Yes you do. I got LED amber turn signals in mine
Hey! Thanks for the great videos on both yours and your dad's TSXs! You're doing great stuff. I would like to know where you sourced the weather stripping/moulding for the roof rail delete, and if there's any update to the new antenna in this video. I'm trying to source everything to do the same delete as soon as possible.
