Traveled up to Mt. Vernon today to check and see if this thunderbolts blower had been fixed or if it was even still active. To my surprise it was still active even though it has been replaced by a 130 that can be clearly heard throughout the video. I hope you enjoy!

How strong is it? Can it trash around building blocks and stuff?,
Can we please see what your machine looks like? I know its Neil Wards Model but i'm genuinely curious to see what yours looks like.
It's been shown with Leigh Orff's super computer simulations that Helical vorticies mostly tend to be anti-cyclonic, which is why they tend to coil around the tornado funnel and not become part of the circulation due to opposing directional air currents.
so how do you get the downdraft?

Other than the fact I make synthesized siren ambiances. This is still a pretty cool video to listen to after a few years.
Do you think it would be possible to simulate the debris cloud process using a spinning PVC tube and some sand and electrostatic induction in order to create a magnetic stirrer?

This is so awesome for many reasons (including that narration from the tornado video, really brought me back).
AHH I definitely have to try this with ultra sonic foggers! The way the vortex just ropes out visibly obviously theres still a vortex there but the particle you're using to visualize the tornado (water vapor or something I would guess) just disappeared in a way to cause a cone like vortex.
Yeah ima get an ultrasonic fogger for Christmas or something
Hi Ty, i was wondering if you could tell me what kind of ceiling fan you have for this open-air tornado. Amazing tornado by the way!
I used a 5 blade 52 inch ceiling fan for the updraft. Then a few card board sheets with a smaller fan to direct air at the base in circular pattern

'm trying to make a tornado but there are so many unexpected air currents that are disturbing formation of a tornado, and also finding the right updraft fan is also quite challenging as i intend to make the tornado big... anyways wish you a good day!! :)

Do you have a video of a high Reynolds number simulation of full vortex breakdown? I am currently working on my apparatus to allow for complete and somewhat control over vortex breakdown and I would like a good reference. Possibly, get Re to 1e4 or higher?

I live right next to this siren and the 130 over the hill hasn’t rotated for years and now the chopper motor is going out…. Half the sirens around here don’t work properly
I can hear a 435hz a little bit but alot more 465hz
