@@wolfe1970 lots of people like using bubble-juice too. I wouldn't tell anyone "not to work with something that works for them" though. The oil may not dry or dissipate as fast as hand soap, but that also means it wouldn't dry out the bead of the tire as well. You may have a good "proper" way of doing something, but that doesn't make other methods wrong my friend. Thanks for your comment. Always like hearing about what works for others. 👍

@@rcwreck-creation Yeah, not working :D It may work on these buly tires you are using, but no chance on the 1.0 or 1:55 beadlocks with Injora tires, the other side always pops out, and there is no friction

@@Arrakiss20 tires I'm using are the stock tire that came on the Redcat gen8, not bulys. Plus they're 1.9 rims for 10th scale

Full size truck is different. The axles on a full size truck is a lot more complicated, and most have diffs that stop the power from going to one side when a tire lifts. Thanks for your input, and if you disagree with anything I said about this vehicle (not a real full size one)? Please make a video explaining properly then? The vehicle handles way better (way less tendency to traction-roll now). The rear end is no longer trying to drive under itself on a slide, and that was the point of installing the 0⁰ hubs. So you can argue with what I said all you want? However if you're comparing the axle of an RC to a full size axle, then what you are saying is coming from way to much knowledge. Plus you can't argue with results, and the results have proven my thoughts & logic correctly. Thanks for the comment though. ,👍

@@rcwreck-creation I'm not saying it didn't make a difference (why would they make the parts otherwise), I'm just saying you're overthinking it. When you're driving hard offroad the tires aren't on the ground half the time. If you're driving in parking lots it's different.

@@devast8r3436 🤣🤣🤣 I wish I could say that's why it broke! Unfortunately it was my own fault for having the ESC set up with a hard drag-break on. Went through 3 shafts that all broke in the same place for the same reason. Finally figured out the drag-break was engaging, turned it off, and hasn't broken since. I really appreciate the comment though. Made me laugh!

See if many are having the same issue with those exact parts, & maybe someone has a solution? If you don't have brands or part #s? I don't really know what to tell ya boss. I appreciate the comment though.

@@melvinjensen978 not straight out of the bag, had to boar out different post holes in the body, swapped & raised (with spacers & washers) the front & back posts on the Clod, but the scale is right on the money! 👌.... Oh! & The body has its own bumper. So the Clods bumper has to come off too.

Exactly why I did this video. Regardless of what instructions you follow. It will make a difference either way. More recently, I used this product again on the inside of the lexan before colour, and it did exactly what I was hoping by making certain masked off patterns next to impossible to see in shade but pop out in the sunshine. So just like my conclusion in this video. I'd say depending on what effect your looking for, it's very useful for both inside (before colour), & outside (after paint). Those that still wanna argue with results are always gonna argue anyway. Thanks for the input on what anyone can read, I like testing products for myself, rather than just read what the manufacturer suggests sometimes. It's the only way to get actual results instead of just opinions. Know what I'm sayin?

I use it as well one coat thin before I use my airbrush createx colors. To give it a better Bond besides the 4030 that I need to use. If you use too much in the inside you can get a sort of flat color but it won't be very flat. If you want the Matt look paint your body in the inside then the flat on the outside.

The upgrades I have are more than "for show" for sure. If you're happy with a stock Clod? Then that's great. 👍 For me, the 27Turn silver cans are way to slow, & the servo on axle steering is way better than the 'zero steering while sitting still-belly mounted single servo stock set up. Owning a Clod is definitely not about having a good driving RC. That's for sure! LOL!!! Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment though. 👍

"Zero steering"! Not so bad! More then half throttle,loosing the front steering.

Hey thanks for the positive comment man. That is not an easy question to answer. Very difficult to find what the stock fluids are, but my source says stock cst values are: •30000cst for front & rear •200000cst for center I have never changed my centre diff oil yet, but I have put 50000cst in the front & rear when Ive serviced them.

The wife ran into some health issues that weren't covered by gov-health assistance, & it cost us enough to treat her to take us right out of the housing market. I have screwed up the finish on 1 rim. .I have new set of crawlers to mount. on those new RC4WD I SCREWED UP. 3 DAYS OF SCREWING UP 1 RIM LOL. so I GOT SO PISSED OFF. I went to my hobby store and bought the gen8 purple Scoutt II. and told my wife it was a new RC or I continue with these wheels in the same room as her.. LMAO!! @@rcwreck-creation

Personally I’m happy with how well the cooking spray worked. So “would petroleum jelly work better?” I can’t really answer that. I can’t see any reason petroleum jelly wouldn’t work (if used properly). Another thing I’m thinking is: Once the tire is on? The petroleum jelly is going to stay longer while the cooking spray will most likely dissipate & rinse off more quickly? I could also be wrong about that too? So the most honest answer I can give is I’m not very familiar with petroleum jelly. Thanks so much for the good question. WOW! Really appreciate the awesome comment. I have found out since locking em up though. It’s really easy to snap an axle shaft. I would imagine if you did like a two part 5min epoxy in the stock diffs and left it to dry for a couple hours? That’d lock em up pretty darn good. 👍

It’s a really hard thing to measure when it’s already installed, but I can tell you the stock (bumper mount) piece it replaced is 2.81inches (71.5mm) Wide (c-channel to c-channel). The inner c-channel (height) is .45inches (11.6mm) Hope that helps? Thanks so much for watching.

I actually used the plastic bushings (I built it with bearings) from the kit under the body mounts to raise the mounts up…. Oh & had to use longer screws to reach through 2 stacked bushings.
