    Sorry wish I could help I have been up to Seattle only the traffic on the highways is horrendous I would not recommend it if you were over that way the Bayfront is a pretty cool stop. However, if you're not already in Seattle I can't say it would be worth the trip over.

      That interesting is it just the 2021 heated and cooled Harley hammock seat That you were having the problem with, or does it also happen with other seats? How soon did it happen? I only have about 15,000 miles on the new seat and have not experienced this problem yet.

    Why did you put target tune on your bike?new upgrades?

    • @BaggerLife4U
      @BaggerLife4U 3 роки тому

      Yes the target turn was installed on the bike to change the fuel Map to accommodate The new exhaust an air cleaner that was put on the bike. The exhaust an air cleaner on the bike were installed chasing a severe overheating problem that the bike was experiencing over sometime in a few changed out parts It was determined that Harley’s Fuel Map strategy Was is a big part of the problem.

  • @BaggerLife4U
    @BaggerLife4U 3 роки тому

    Yes I can do an after use review of the seat. The seat cools but it does not get cold it’s more noticeable in cooler weather than it is an extreme hot weather but after riding for several hours when you get off the bike with the seat set on max cool you can tell that your ass is cooler than the rest of you by touch.

  • @7361biker
    @7361biker 3 роки тому

    Can you please do a review of the seat? Does it actually cool?

  • @Magnum1427-M
    @Magnum1427-M 3 роки тому

    I just tried it out on a long ride the cooling was not that noticeable and the seat was not that great for a long trip. I am 6’1” while in the seat as the driver I didn’t have much leg room I had to keep kicking out to the highway pegs to get comfortable.

    • @BaggerLife4U
      @BaggerLife4U 3 роки тому

      That’s good to know. I am 5’10” with a 34 inch inseam. I find I set a little lower in the seat that I did with my old stock seat. As far as the cooling goes I’ve noticed it doesn’t make my butt cold, but I also do not get hotspots like I would get with my old seat. I’ve tried riding with the digital barbecue thermometer and noticed that overtime the temperature lowers about 2 to 4° depending on the outside temperature, opposed to riding with the cooling turned off. I’ve also noticed that the pants that I’m wearing make a giant felt difference.

    That sucks did you look at it? My adjustable seat back rest fit but it does push the back of the rider seat forward a bit however I don’t care I would rather have the adjustable back rest.

  • @ahl2easy
    @ahl2easy 3 роки тому

    Just tried to install at the H-D shop. They told me the seat fits great but my adjustable rider seat back does not fit. The recommended the fixed seat back rest. I was disappointed because I love the adjustable seat back rest. So I went to just the plain old hammock seat for the 2020 FLHTK.😏😔😎

    No I did not the color combinations from my accessory plug to the seat plug did not match the color coding on the wires, I used a probe with a lightbulb to find the wire in the accessory plug that lit up with the key on and stopped with the key off and verified the voltage with a multimeter.

    • @terryg6127
      @terryg6127 3 роки тому

      Ok thanks for the replies. No blown fuses yet? Thanks for your videos

  • @terryg6127
    @terryg6127 3 роки тому

    Did you use the same color wires from the seat to the accessory plug

  • @OffGrid4U
    @OffGrid4U 3 роки тому

    I ended up splicing mine into the accessory plug. If you have a decent parts guy at your dealership and they have a 2012 accessory plug on hand I would suggest plugging it into the seat or trying it looks like a standard accessory port however when I asked the parts guy to bring me accessory wiring harness for 2011 to try on the seat The part that he brought out would not plug-in to the 2021 however there was no earlier seat on hand to compare the part to make sure it was truly correct. On the 2011 the The accessory port is a four pin with two low-voltage wires 12 V wire and one wire to the accessory switch mine is located directly under the fuel tank. My wife says that the seat is more comfortable than the old one and she loves the fact that it has heat.

  • @terryg6127
    @terryg6127 3 роки тому

    So... I have a 2012 so I'm going to have to wire mine up like yours? And the accessories plug on the left side won't hook up with the new seat then? How does the passenger like the seat? Thanks for the replies and safe rides to you

  • @OffGrid4U
    @OffGrid4U 3 роки тому

    The wiring harness that specifically fits the 2021 Harley hammocks seat only goes back to the wiring adapter for a 2014. Wiring harness for the 2011 that would plug into a heated Harley Hammock seat will not plug into the heated and cooled Harley hammock seat therefore the wiring harness had to be modified. The severe lower back pain that I was experiencing with the other seat has all but vanished the longest ride I’ve had today is 400 and some odd miles in one stretch with zero back pain and cooling in the seat prevents the hotspots that I would get on long rides.

  • @terryg6127
    @terryg6127 3 роки тому

    Why didn't you use the stock wiring harness from your bike? How does it feel after a few hundred miles on the seat?

    Do put this seat back the rider as like Harley tallboy seat?

    • @BaggerLife4U
      @BaggerLife4U 3 роки тому

      Norbert due to the low back of the seat without the backrest you can slide quite a ways back on it or move yourself up still finding a fairly comfortable position. I have the adjustable back rest and find that I can push myself far enough up that I feel cramped and moving the back rest all the way back I would not be able to comfortably hold onto the handlebars without moving them back. I’m not certain how high the tall boys since you but this seat definitely lowered why sit height by about an inch and a half. However my wife and I just got back from a little over a 400 mile ride today and I can tell you the seat is very comfortable using the heat of the mountains and the cooling down on the coast.

  • @BaggerLife4U
    @BaggerLife4U 3 роки тому

    The cooling in the seat works but it doesn’t actually make the seat cold and you don’t really notice it when you ride it’s when you get off the bike you noticed that your ass is not overheated. I would say it keeps the seat 8 to 10° cooler than ambient temperature.
