As a young woman who has deleted all social media, never had dating apps, rejected hook up culture, and embraced a more traditional or old school methods of dating - I too have been completely un-succesful. Whilst I am never going to turn back to modernised dating, as it truly does not embody my values, my prefered route of traditional dating methods are equally ineffective. I put myself out there, crack jokes with strangers, make small talk but every time I am almost looked at an an alien for this hah! It is almost like society today is so disconnected and even shocked by normal human interaction, being genuine with your compliments, and striking up a convo.
