Hi Chris, quick question using Victron 12v dc to dc converter 30A in my minivan with OEM alternator which is probably 150amps can it damage alternator or starter battery since this will place load on it? or should I reduce the 30amp max to lower number, just want to know your thoughts. Thank you.

Why not just use an inverter? Before someone says "you lose efficiency", who cares the engine is running. I use a 1000W inverter and change the charge rate in the APP to lower it a bit so the inverter isn't running on full. It has a remote switch shut off too. So now I also have 2 AC plugs in the truck and it has USB plugs too for $64

Good job. I saw them being sold online, but they're WAY too expensive. I have the same Ecoflow unit, but I use mine in my bedroom because I didn't want an a/c in the window. I used a piece of styrofoam and only put one hole in it for the heat exhaust tube. No sense in pulling hot air in if I don't have to.

I would spread the intake / exhaust far apart having exhaust at higher side of window. To avoid circulating back into intake. Heat naturally goes upward, cool air stays at lower side. It done right efficiency of these portable. Accommodate with descent size fan to reduce the power needed to run the AC

Hi Chris can you guide if this system can work with Anker Solix C1000 ? It has the capacity for 600W solar charge, I appreciate what you do thank you for putting out this useful information in a much much clear way.

I shot mine through the moon roof with supports like yours with some foam board insulation to keep the cool in and heat out. Additionally, it's not as easy to break in or to be as noticeable to others, even when I'm not there. It's also out of the way of the front seat. It's on the console and there is also less conduit going in/out so as not to heat the 4Runner when using my EchoFlow Wave 2.

Why did you put the intake outside ??? put it inside ! You're taking hot air from the outside to cooldown your car, if you put it inside, you're gonna take the "cold" air to cooldown the inside, it's gona work betther !

I was thinking what if it rains? maybe you can add a dryer vent adapter that has a flap built in it and a cover. Add it on the end of the hose that exits the window. Just a thought.

This os exactly what I need to complement my 200W solar panels. The only question is, how do I charge my ecoflow since I'm already using the solar plug?

Does the DC to DC controller put out a constant 20 amps or does it very with the load? I want to try this hooked up to my Ecoflow Mini but the max input is 10 Amps

Cigarette adapter is limited to 8a, solar is limited to 15a. There is also a resistor that can be added that forces the receptacle to 15a.

Good movie, a little question am i thinking right about how many amp it take, 433watt diveded with 12 = 36,08ah so if i run it on 24v i get less watt Into EcoFlow but it take less ah from car but faster than a 12v plug, not sure how much amps I can take from the car but good to be able to adjust. There is a reason the current is limited to 8A for the Car socket. If yoiu draw more power then the car's circuitry will get fried.

Funny I would think just a simple inverter maybe a 1000w would work but instead connecting to the AC port? The Unit will think it is connected to the AC and would charge at an even higher rate. I have no idea what the AMP rating for solar is for this unit, but if its 800watts and you use a 20amp and if it is a 10-15amp you could be on borrowed time?

Wouldn't a good quality pure sign wave inverter do the same thing?

This set up damaged my ecoflow max2000 xt60 input. I only had 340watts input at the time. Have you had any issues?

You do need this? Its have mppt beult in that can handel 22volt and up. So you do not need dc to dc . A mppt do the same like a dc to dc. Stupid

A useless problem thats easily solved with out spending money 😂😂, eco flow already charges really fast, even if you forget to charge the night before leaving to camp, just plug it in 1 hour before you leave, it should charge up to 90-100%, then you plug the car charger thats included to top off , see 0$ spent 😂😂😂

I just… don’t understand all of these dc to dc converter videos. I get 800w from my 1000w inverter straight into my delta 2 no problem. What the hell is everyone doing wrong?$90 inverter 800w people… don’t need this stupid xt60 connector or a dc to dc . Just hook an inverter to the car battery and plug the dang thing in why is this so hard?

Why not just use an inverter like 1000w dc to ac instead. It would charge with up to 900 watts despite the conversation energy loss which would cut the charging time almost in half.

Ecoflow has a new product for charging Delta 2 series power stations from a car alternator. The Ecoflow 800watt Alternator Charger. Charges at up to 800watts per hour. And the new product doesnt have issues with getting too hot. Pecron has a competing product that works with almost all power stations and charges at upto 500watts per hour. The victron unit here was one of the first plug n play units for faster charging, I think the victron charges at upto 400watts or there abouts per hour.

I think there is no special wiring done on the cigarette charging cable, the ecoflow only limits the charging to 100w if the voltage detected is below a set voltage maybe 14v and if the voltage is around 24v it will charge it faster.

This is what happens when you do research on a product you buy on eBay or amazon. There is an inverter that you can buy for it that you put inside your vehicle that charges it faster, also if you want a solar panel look for a 400 watt one, knowing your current and voltages is a thing. :) Sounds like you learned from experience. Well done

I’m thinking of doing a temporary emergency set up from your first video. Battery to fuse and turn off yellow switch. In an emergency I will have a jumper to the inverter and charge EcoFlow if needed. All without a permanent mounting in the vehicle.
