1955 Chevy Wagon with classic chamber mufflers
What did you use to adapt the Chevy to the Nissan?
The motor mounts are a Speedway bisket style. The whole running gear is chevy. Transmission is a sm435 with a dana 20 transfer case. Cross member is custom fabricated. Biggest issue was getting it to fit between foot wells. I solved it by keeping the engine forward. It's a sacrifice for weight distribution, but I felt it was worth it to keep the already limited foot room.
good video. many Nissan Patrol L60 are still on the road rebuilt in south America today . i saw only 2 in south africa in the late 90s in terrible condition on the farm. amazing your 1966 Nissan Patrol L60 is not rusted through . i can not see a 2020 Nissan Patrol lasting around 60 years with original engine starting up.
This guy has got no idea how to grind a stump. Too much grinding, stump needs to be cut down to ground level. And he should start out further on the root system first and then work your way back. The way he's doing it is very hard on the equipment. It gets costly when you go buying teeth, and other parts, like bearing and pins, and u-joints on the shaft
Neat Patrol. What's with the sideways filming??
Awesome!! Where do you find parts ?!
I'm converting the running gear to chevy. Everything else is a lot of hunting and searching
Looking good man. Are those 46” front springs from the K5 or K10?
Yes I have a set of k10 and a set from a military blazer which I am going to use the military fronts on the rear because they are 3 leaf packs.
I have the Branson 2515H, and am about to buy that Titan stump grinder, so this was the perfect video. I agree with a couple of commenters in that you should have cut that stump down a little more with the saw first, and tried to rest the base on the ground. I'm still going to buy it though.
Awesome. I remember talking to you about it. Cool little ride.
Mine was the little silver car with the green stripe
Sit the base on the ground like it's designed to be operated and the bounce will minimize.
I was going to say the same thing. His stump is too tall, it needed cut down more with the saw. And I saw a couple of times he engaged the pto while the grinder was in contact with the stump, which probably didn't help the shear pins.
i have the manual of it if u want let me know I'll email u
its the nissan patrol another name jonga in india was a military truck... i had 2 in 2014 and now i have one with me
Stump grinding better off buying a used one. Those 3 point ones aren't worth the money.
I learned the hard way stay away from Summit Hydraulics. There kits are are terrible.
Looking great! Can't wait to see her on the road!
I want to see anything you work on. It's all perfect redneckery.
Good information. Thanks.
Your welcome
Such a cool looking rig!!! Can't wait to see more!!!
Thank you. Will be more to come.
She is alive... you got a runner!!! I wanna see more of these Nissan!!!!
Make sure you keep check on bolts staying torqued, I was midway through a pine stump (maybe 18 - 20 inch round) when I noticed the horizontal hydraulic piston appeared to be loose and sloppy I stopped cutting immediately and found the problem to be the bolt that retains the pin for the end eye of the hydraulic cylinder had backed out and the pin was backing out. Then I noticed that one of the blocks that hold the cutting teeth was dangling by one bolt and the second bolt had snapped in two, checked the other cutter blocks and found that (including the one that had a broken bolt) half of the blocks were loose. I do not know if these worked loose during the several stumps I have ground down or if torque was not right at the factory, but for safety be sure to periodically check torque on those bolts.
Absolutely. This thing is a constant state of vibration. I nut and bolt it and grease it every time I hook it up, and about every 3rd stump if I am doing a bunch.
@@garymadero1955 I noticed in the online manual that Titan calls the teeth 900, I am guessing that other Greenteeth 900 series will work. Did not know if you have purchased extra teeth yet? I think Titan wants between $400 and $500 for 16 where elsewhere they run $10-12 per tooth. I know I will be needing replacements at some point, I am clearing a few acres of pines that the beetles have gotten into and figured cut 'em now and put on the mill for lumber before I have tons of falling and rotting wastewood.
Good job 👍
Thank you. Lots more to come for this one.
TBH, its not that bad, worth spending a few dollars.
Slow down !!! One episode a week otherwise it'll be over in no time ! make us wait
Nice looking rig! Can't wait to see her running ❤
Bloody ripper mate , watch your subscribers swell !
Thank you sir
whats your PTO HP? I'm looking into one of these for a 32 hp tractor with 27 PTO hp
21 pto hp. It puts a good load on the engine but no more than brush hogging and dense field.
I dig those out with a backhoe. When I’m done the thing is gone.
I started digging it out, but it is more than my backhoe will handle.
You'll be retired before that stump is ground down.
I wonder who was revving the engine...lol
Good job babe.....you're amazing and I love you 😍
Like you're video,,I've got a 79 and have looked and looked for a replacement gauge cluster and other parts,,do you have any suggestions?? It would help out a lot,,thanks allot..
Awsome Terry...keepin the dream alive..good on ya pal!
