This is genius. OK Gilmour does a brilliant solo, but this IMHO is actually better without the guitars. Much more powerful and raw and really wrings out the emotion of the song

Ive seen Tommy with two different bands....Ozzy and Pat Travers......such a great guy and he being in his 70s can out perform kids a third his age....Rock On Tommy.I still also think this is Deep Purples song.Coverdale sang parts of it on the Burn album years ago.
