This is just a little film of our garden in its final throws of the productive year. For some reason I cant add titles, think my PC is also at the end of its productive life! #gardening #nodigallotment #petunias #Fuchsias #beetroot

Apologies for this video being a bit longer than usual, but technical problems have intervened with my uploading to UA-cam. This video is mainly to introduce my hydroponics system in the greenhouse and to show the pros and cons of growing that way. It was taken over about a month so will show the amazing changes that can happen in garden and greenhouse. #growyourownfood #nodig #

This seems to be the most economical way to straw a strawberry bed, livestock farming is in decline around here and small bales of clean straw are very difficult to come by. #nodig #growyourownfood #raisedbed #veggarden #softfruit #strawberries #allotment #gardeningtips #petlover #hamsterbedding

do you plant a cover crop after pulling parsnips?
just harvested some beets. wash, boil, eat. taste like boiled sweet corn, but healthier.
Ha ha enjoy the bounty of your growing. That’s just how I like beet too, wife pickles hers!
Nice. I grew potatoes 1st time ever this summer, in a bucket. 1 small from red set. 5 yellow from Yukon gold. So fun to finally try. Yours looks so pretty. Great job.
At 49 seconds, oh that dirt looks so pretty. Like you said, tidy. Just so pretty. This video just popped up so I haven't seen what type of winter cleaning you do in the greenhouse. The shallots were so pretty. Nice job you all!
Thanks 👍 yes winter greenhouse; totally empty and wash and spray the whole area with washing up liquid and Jeyes fluid. Propagation equipment I try and renew or refresh annually
Музыка загробная, смотреть неинтересно.
Awesome❤❤❤
I really liked this system. You are doing well to keep up with new technologies.👍🎉
Super! 😁👍 The music is great.😁🌹💃
Glad you like it
Love it

Thank you Vivian I hope you too have had a brilliant and blessed weekend. Love from us.
@@Charlie-wood Thank you!🩷
What a cutie 🥰
MORE garden visits, please!
During summer I shall be filming at Newby Hall Ripon. I believe it’s been featured on Gardeners World.
Рада Вас видеть. Спасибо за видео.
Great! I plant Pablo beets.
Please tell me more about Pablo beets.
@@Charlie-wood With pleasure, beet "Pablo F1" is a hybrid of the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. The variety is medium early with a remarkable yield of the crop and is considered one of the best for today. He leads by a combination of taste and rooting quality. Even in winter, after a few months from the time of harvest, the beet of this variety will not change its taste and will not deteriorate.
@@polinpolin7017thank you so much for the info, I shall definitely look out for some seed. We eat a fair amount of beet, both boiled and pickled. I prefer it just boiled. Our home is in the Vale of York, which was once a prime sugar beet growing area.
Beetroot is very good for your health. She has delicious young leaves that we use in salads, they are so beautiful. I also freeze beets, carrots and peppers cut into strips in the refrigerator. I use them for soup. Sorry, I use Google translator to communicate. I like your garden and greenhouse. You have a very beautiful garden and a functional greenhouse.
@@polinpolin7017thank you so much for your lovely comments, very much appreciated. ❤
🐝Thanks for the great video🌻 just love beets!!

Where's the weed
Ha ha next door!
That’s where I work
Not a bad spot to work so long as the weather isn’t too rough! Thank you for your comment.
Not as well thought out as say Wollerton old hall gardens of Hidcote manor gardens .This garden lacks the WOW! factor
Good vidio👍🤝🙏
yu don't rub the dirt off the roots before cooking and why not
The roots are very well rinsed in water to remove almost all the soil though I try not to damage any of the hair roots to avoid bleeding.
I'm confused
Allow me to clarify, boiling beet without cutting or tearing any part of it. All the colour and flavour is retained that way. Sorry to confuse.
@Charlie-wood oh...to cool ...thx...I get it now !!
Love the caption 😂
What a corker!
35 cm girth! No fertiliser used this year and on deep sandy land.
Looks great and yummy 🎉🎉

@@Charlie-wood Yes. Thanks for the heart ❤️.

Thank you Kevin, and not a hint of carrot fly. We had it for tea tonight

Nice garden you got there!
Nomination for Historic Houses Association garden of the year.
Those are not ancient. I part time live on a canal boat and I’ve only seen one or two that are different from Thant.
