If you're trying to not over rank just to get some farming opportunities, you might want to not engage in fights in gold rank for the first week of the month, it really feels miserable with all the platinum 1 people down in gold 5. Silver feels kind of the same though. Click and Echo also happen to troll a lot of decks that rely on having an empty field or all their monsters of a specific kind, for 1 reason or another, so it isn't just hand knowledge that's up for consideration, it slows down cyber dragon, annoys sky striker, shuts down lightning storm, stops live twin from getting the second twin and similar, the 2100 defense being the only bigger downside.

So many insane pulls that Performapal Bit Bite Turtle got overlooked. Its a sidegrade to the ol' maso classic Man Eater Bug, with the added pendulum functionality and the ability to just normal summon crash into bigger things to get rid of them. Sadly it wasn't the performapal that's a reusable battle destruction protection from the scale zone. That one also goes great in my level 2 Mannequin cat maso deck and its something to keep an eye on all the performapal pen effects for.

Have you seen if there are any good targets for sublimation knight?

The snow plow is such a good card for this challenge, that it is crazy your deck can consistently keep up an established board without needing to rely on an easy to set 3k def summon with decent attack. The incidental burn to cheese out Dinomorphia and Ra players never ceases to amaze either.

PS I figured out how to split mic audio from game audio, so my little home-brew avatar dude will be less glitchy next week 😅

I really liked this series, started watching a while after the last episode, thought it was over, nice to see it is back.

Have you checked out Blackwing - Decay the Ill Wind (the tuner you got in the legacy pack last episode)?

48:51 The Blackwing you pulled is pretty decent, because its a tuner that can change its level (both to 3 and 5) and I even used it in my deck for a long time and I'm thinking about using it again because it's so versatile.

I don't like the idea of you using rules to make the challenge easier, since you're still at the very beginning of it, especially considering that you're not stagnant (on the contrary, you've been getting good pulls lately, so I don't see any need in applying these rules) and even though I don't like rules that make the challenge easier, I still think it's plausible for cases where the player is stagnant with a weaker deck (which was actually my case, but I resisted the temptation to make the challenge easier, but thankfully after a considerable period of stagnancy I managed to get good pulls that make my deck much more solid)

Personally, I think Centur-Ion Phalanx is a decent card (even because my deck is more focused on traps, but it is still a decent card for the reasons I will list), because it can protect your monsters, it can take away combo pieces from the opponent (which is sometimes enough to stop the opponent's combo) or another card that is crucial for the opponent to control, also, you choose in which position the monster can be summoned, this sometimes makes it easier for you to beat it in battle on your turn (there are also little tricks you can do with it if you know the rules, like taking back control of one of your monsters that your opponent controls, or preventing your opponent's monster from being summoned from banishment because it wasn't summoned properly, since it's not uncommon for decks today to do this to make summoning easier, etc)
