When we need to do short trips, we should avoid using the car, even if its eco-friendly. The #tern Vektron S10 is really an almost perfect bike for that. I am also showing a "Schrebergarten" and "Abenteuerspielplatz" in the Zug area. And all the while biking on specific bike paths for pedestrian and cyclist only. Hello :) This is a travel program directing team broadcasting in Korea. We aim to give satisfaction to many travelers who are restricted from traveling abroad due to the COVID-19 situation with great videos. In preparing for the Switzerland episode this time, I have a request to show the Camping Holdrio. Only part of your video will be used, and it helps viewers to understand. Could you please allow us to use your UA-cam channel’s video on our broadcast screen along with the source? I look forward to your positive consideration. Thank you!

    It's interesting that you see the growth of English as an advantage. Is it not good to try and maintain local culture ?

    • @FamilyOnAMission
      @FamilyOnAMission 2 роки тому

      Yes, of course. But there should be a language wherein foreigners and locals can communicate. Hence, English as a second language would be beneficial.

    • @dubmait

      @@FamilyOnAMission why English and not French or Spanish ? Or esperanto? there was a plan after ww2 to make esperanto the world language. It was blocked by the USA. This is a power play and its something I don't like. The power of the English language and US culture has become quite negative. I know in Switzerland there's a lot of in fighting and Swiss germans don't seem to like french but it always seems to baffle me that they love English when it's not part of their shared heritage.

    • @FamilyOnAMission

      @@dubmait Well, first, and I can only assume, English has been well established already. Let's not look in the past, but focus on today... It is what it is. English is very widespread and as I travel, I find more people speaking English. Second, I've studied French and know only a little Spanish, and it seems that English is a tad bit easier to learn. There are many factors to take into consideration to fix an international language.

      Hi Kinnish They usually speak the language of the region, where they find themselves. So, if they meet in the German speaking part, the French-Swiss would have to make an effort to speak German.

    Greaaaat!! Must-see viewing for every Swiss visitor! (Too bad about the gaffe at 2:08, but don't sweat the small stuff!) Now do a couple of country roads and passes (eg Albis Pass, Buchenegg near Zürich, or Sattelegg (middle-sized pass further away), or Klausen (major pass). Show how the centreline markings are often missing and the seam in the asphalt is NOT a good lane indicator. Show how there are no shoulders, but low curbs. Show the frequent lack of guardrails and the frequent presence of stone pillars instead. Show how blind a blind curve can be, and how many of 'em there are, and how a road can change direction as it tops a crest. Show how narrow the roads are, and how the oh-so-exact Swiss drivers can crowd or cross the centreline (where present). Show how a Postbus fills up a lane -- and a bit more. Or truck. Or tractor with 7-foot tires and two trailers. Driving in Switzerland: wonderful, but keeps you on your toes!!

    Something you forgot to say is that if you are on a red light and there is an emergency vehicle behind you, it is legal to cross the road slowly and carefully to open the way for the firefighters etc. If there is a red light speed camera and you get a ticket you can call the police and tell them that it was an emergency, so they will check your information and dismiss your ticket. Theres an other thing you've forgot. If there's traffic jam you have to build a "Rettungsgasse" to make a way for emergency vehicles. That means that all vehicles on the very left lane go to the left side of their lane and all other lanes go as much as possible to the right.

    2:09 is wrong, it means that you are now able to overtake hence the grey it means "aufgehoben/lifted" if it would be a red circle on the outside and one car black the other red then it s a "don't do it sign" same with the speed limit if there is a "80" and 1km later the "80 in a grey circle crossed with one light grey line" it is not 80 no more instead it s (on the autobahn for example) 120km/h.

    For a Slovenian these seem like normal driving rules. In a lot of EU countries in general people follow these rules. From our perspective it seems that some countries simply don't follow rules and are sloppy about them in the first place and not that ours are extra strict. Interesting how perspectives are different depending on how you look at it.

    As a vegetarian ( I don’t think I can go vegan 🤣), this definitely got my interest. I’m that person that’s always hovering around the “vegan meats “ and plant based cheese portion of the aisle at Migros. I do enjoy the taste of Migros’s vegetarian fish sticks and minced meat ( though it’s not healthy) . It just feels unnatural to me. I don’t think most of these engineered meats are healthier than real meat. I feel it’s just an alternative for vegetarians and vegans but it doesn’t make it healthier.

    • @FamilyOnAMission
      @FamilyOnAMission 3 роки тому

      Well it‘s really worth a try, if we can help the environment and at the same time stay healthy (what they promise). The vegan way might be too excessive and surely unhealthy. Interesting enough, the main target customers of engineered meat are the meat eaters and not vegetarians. I think that‘s great. And bold :)

Since I already speak Hindi, I chose French. In hindsight , I wish I had chosen German then. Would’ve made my first few months in Switzerland a bit easier being able to read signs. Hi Rohit Thanks for your feedback. It's a known conflict I have when editing. If I make it too long, the dynamics of the video can be interrupted and it's harder for others who just want to watch to skip these popups. Whereas for those who are interested can simply pause the video and take their time to read. But maybe I'll be narrating instead. That way the flow of the video stays in tact while I explain the specific scene. Hope I was able to clarify some things :)

In tunnels it's always 100kmp/h unless otherwise stated (it's never more, if anything it's less, usually 80kmp/h. You never see a 120 sign, the sign for max limit is a white circle with diagonal stripes, sort of similar to the one to indicate the end of the overtaking restriction but with no pictogram behind the lines.
