Fantastic
Thank you!
What song is being played?
Anchor's Aweigh, the main march of the U.S. Navy
Mike Tyson's Punch Out!!
A few of the older members remember the original source being Friday Night Fights some 60+ years ago... then there are those of us in this band who are 25-40 who made the same conclusion you did.
Great job band!!!
Good to hear the Spring Concert...thanks!
Where is this band performing?
As indicated in the description, in the auditorium of Franklin Borough School. We are the oldest community band in New Jersey, formed in 1870

I’m SO HAPPY ❤
So WONDERFUL ❤
I LOVE THEM

Notice the slide just after the one with the trophy about The Franklin Band during the Covid-19 pandemic? That is a still image from our Virtual Concert that we were able to record in 2020, demonstrating the resiliency of our members who undertook multiple safety precautions that allowed The Franklin Band to continue during a time where many community bands/orchestras were unable to.
Ok
I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I was a member during the early 50s. The band during that time was directed by Jack Williams, Al Saleeby, and Bill Wilgus. We rehearsed at the neighborhood house and gave weekly evening concerts(Thursdays if I remember correctly) on the lawn there. When we paraded we wore the black uniforms with white piping. Thanks for keeping up the tradition of the great Franklin Band, "the best band in the land".
Thank you for watching and for sharing your memories. Feel free to check out our other content from previous concerts to vinyl albums and be on the lookout for future content!
two thumbs up!
Thai brings back good memories of middle school band, I'm in 10th grade and I miss these days. Thank you
We're glad this brought back good memories from middle school band. Feel free to check out our other content and we hope you keep playing. If you live in or around Sussex County, New Jersey consider looking at our Facebook page for updates and opportunities to join our concert and marching bands. All are welcome.
As a resident I really enjoy the band each year
Thank you Franklin Band for bringing joy and cheer into a dreary world right now. God bless!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the concert.
Thanks, Franklin Band for bring us the Christmas spirit!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the concert!
Great job!
Jay said Santa stole his solo. LOLOL!
Santa can share all the solos for his song.
Great concert, everyone!!!! Lois Verbeek
Glad you enjoyed the concert!
I miss those days when the Parade and the band would march past my childhood home. So many years of musical inspiration, and the street beat. Funny enough this was the year I started playing drums and vowed to learn that street beat. 5 years later, I joined the band and Jeff taught it to me. Was a kid's dream come true. I thought it was the coolest thing.
Who is directing?
Hi Bob, Sorry for late reply. The Director at this time was Lee Moody who was also a music teacher in the area at the time.
@@TheFranklinBand I never heard that name before. Would it be possible to provide a list of all former directors of the Franklin Band, and the time period they served as director?
@@RobertCaggiano sure. This list was maintained by our historian, Linda Webb docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aVK1K3oje0nlz1t-F5JpmUqwL3LzqzWvkjBVCuYVq5M/edit?usp=drivesdk

awwww.... I miss Band dearly! I think this was my last concert event before i moved to PA in the fall of 2006. <3
Wow! Who was playing lead trumpet? I can't make out the roster.
Hi Bob, I mentioned who had the solo in the description. John Saleeby had the solo on this one. The trumpet section at that time though, 15 trumpets. Enjoy, more will be coming! Robert Ernst - President
