I find it's better to do a wider seam than 1/4" when you're dealing with so many layers. The item will just be a bit smaller, but it saves having to go back and catch the layers on a second (or even a third) go-around.

How would I add something like this to a store-bought backpack?

I purchased this pattern on a while back but I have not used it yet. Have you ever made this pattern without a lining using a clear vinyl. I'm not sure why it would not work just wondering if you have any comments on that.

I only cut 2 outer fabric and sf101 for slip pocket B since it doesn’t say cut 2 lining and now I have to find a different lining for that because I don’t have enough. It’s not written on the pattern pc B or on the cut list.
