I LOVE horses. My Misty (half TN Walker & half paint) is now 25 yrs old,.long in the tooth & growing swayback! 3 yrs ago, her 36 yr old stable mate LADYBUG, fell & needed to be put down. Now in my late 60s, I know it w/b inappropriate & very selfish to acquire another, as I'd rather not leave them to someone who may NOT give the heartfelt LOVE I do, when I pass on. I've seen some pretty inhumane treatment of animals where I live. Its heartbreaking & unacceptable. This little girl has a huge heart. My eyes are leaking.

There is a movie.I saw many years ago about a famous race horse that broke its front leg and they made a special sling to hold the horse up until it healed. This is Not a new idea.

Although I like these stories, it's extremely annoying that they always are filled with extra information that's useless and make me want to stop listening. You make it at least twice as long as necessary. Why can't you just tell the story and get to the point?

This is truly a nice story but why aren't there plenty of photos documenting it? People in general want this to be a true story - so do I but I don't believe it. Empathy relating to a story like this is natural and normal - no problem with that. I will, however, block this channel next time I see it (via the three horisontal dots below and to the right of the video) - in my opnion it just steals your time.

This is a wonderful story! I'm retired now, but in my work life I dedicated myself to helping adults with developmental disabilities live better lives in their community with their family and friends. As part of a fine team of workers, we regularly took them to all sorts of places to see and do things. This included going to a horse stable to ride a horse. The gentle patience of the horses and the fine guidance from a very experienced stable owner was just perfect for them to get comfortable with a new experience. It also made a great deal of difference that our team members had already established trust with our clients. The horses were the therapists. Our team's job was to open the therapists' door and walk with, be with our clients into their world. The horses helped our clients exercise their ability to learn and enjoy new experiences. They gained a confidence that transferred to learning a number of other skills, thus making their lives, and ours, richer in ways that truly matter. Surely, surely, this young lady's relationship with Spirit was one of mutual trust and belonging. Children that girl's age often forget what they're supposed to being doing. But they are almost always in tune with those they love. Belonging..to be with another... lovingly...body, mind and soul.
