Advance RI CTR Implementation Science Seminar Series | Ariana Albanese, PhD
Fall 2024 - Advance RI-CTR Implementation Science Seminar series explores implementation science, its methodology, and application.
Ariana Albanese, PhD: “A rapid approach to qualitative analysis”
Use of qualitative methods is key to effectively answering implementation science research questions. However, often rapid qualitative approaches are preferred in implementation science given the need for collected data to quickly inform decision-making. In this talk, Dr. Albanese introduced a rapid approach to qualitative analysis which has been utilized in several implementation science projects.
About the Speaker
Dr. Ariana Albanese is an Assistant Professor and member of the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) Program. Dr. Albanese received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University in 2022. She completed her residency training and postdoctoral fellowship at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Her program of research is focused on improving behavioral health outcomes, with a particular focus on behavioral health during pregnancy and postpartum. As an implementation science methodologist, her research has covered various content areas and employed multiple methods, such as community engagement, formative evaluation, the selection and application of implementation theories, models, and frameworks, and the assessment of implementation outcomes. She also possesses methodological expertise in qualitative and mixed methods, including rapid qualitative methods which are often used in implementation science.

You're welcome
Hi, how did you activate the : Number(1 decimal place - comma as decimal) Thanks
Hi, and thank you for the question. To activate this field validation type, you'll have to ask your REDCap administrator to enable it for you. They can do this by going to Control Center -> Field Validation Types -> and enabling the "Number (1 decimal place - comma as decimal)" validation.
Can you please explain why NIH deleted data in September 2019 when asked by the Lab in China. Why the control was changed from the Civillian to the Military which affected their funding. Bet you dont get an answer for me. #corruption #coverup
Excellent video on an esoteric, but important, topic.
Exactly what I needed, many thanks. Hope you will be producing more videos in the future!
Thank you so much
Thank you for the presenter, she did a great job of simple and detailed explanation of core concepts.
Excellent video. Thanks so much--this is exactly what I was looking for. So grateful that ya'll made this available to the public!
Hi I have one question
What is your question?
Fantastic upload! Everything we need is already there - in nature :) Keep it up!
Do you know if it is possible to have two randomization models in one project? In short, we have two different RCTs pulling participants from a single cohort.
Hi Melissa! Thank you for your comment! Please feel free to reach out to us and we can discuss solutions that are appropriate to accommodate the needs of your specific project. You can contact a REDCap administrator directly by logging into REDCap, opening your project of interest, and hitting the "Contact REDCap administrator" button located under the "Help & Information" heading on the left-hand side. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Hi Melissa - I'm a Brown researcher and am actually looking to the answer to this exact question (for a SMART design). Did you ever figure this out?
Hi Katie! In short, I don’t think it’s possible (based on what I could find) but we did find a solution. For our study, we ended up creating two SEPARATE redcap projects - one for data collection/the main study and then one purely for randomization. Each redcap project had its own randomization model - one for each RCT. In the second project, we had a short data entry form to input data from the main project needed for randomization (ie., gender for stratification, ID, etc.). We had a data entry question for randomization group in the main project so that we could have all our information in one place. It’s a bit of tedious process but it allows us to have randomization for both RCTs through redcap. Hope that helps! I’d be happy to try to clarify anything if you need it!
Thank you very much. Very useful explanation🙋♂️
@@gabriellestranieri5660 Are you from Ukraine? Дякую it is in Ukrainian language😁. Today, I faced with an obstacle, when I tryed to upload allocation table, the Redcap did not accepted it. I made everything exactly as you, but all attempts is failed😭. Could you help me to create allocation table?
