Kinda having a struggle on getting it on

I have that car from the 1990s company was Bolink at the time same chasis and wire wing. Looks better with the wider tires. Wanted to try 1/8 scale on road. Also want to figure out how to modify rubber tires a larger rc truck so the tires can shrivel up from centrifugal rotational force like like real dragster. That would be so kool

Nice run!.😎👍 I noticed that your needles are easy to turn ,worn o rings will cause leakage an cause needle to move throwing your tune off , I use sticky grease on the needles for a quick fix ,so you might need new o rings or needles for the carb! I dont mean to come off like I know everything or that you dont know how to tune ,just giving you what I learned from my experience with mine!..👍

it looke like their are bubbles of fuel comming out of the head where the glowplug is, u might want to check to see if its tight or if its missing the copper looking washer for the glowplug, otherwise its a massive air leak and it is and will mess with ur tune constantly no matter what u do but otherwise its an awesome car!

looks clapped out servo having a seizure there towards the end of the video and your engine is powerless that bogging that it was doing when you were revving it

Damn it, after i watched your video i checked mine for the ejector screw and oh lord that thing was loose as F so i used a screwdriver and tightened that up. Thank you sir for sharing your experience with us!

Y tunes carb IS to rich

Just wondering if you still have / run this car? I ask as I recently got one second hand as a roller but plan to use it mainly for fun on road driving. Thing is I’m not sure if it can be set up like a race car eg oil filled shocks and adjusting weight distribution etc or whether I’ll need to add weights like they do when racing rc touring cars.

I just did this to my xo-1 and I have a few thoughts. First is that the traxxas big block has an RPM limit that will not allow you to fully take advantage of the 8s power at the 1650 KV level. The second is that the only way to keep the car controllable with 8s is to very gradually accelerate.

So I had a Savage 25 and never had a problem with it. I got a 3rd generation Savage X 4.6 and that SOB is still stuck in the high gear. The adjustment screw is a little a skew so I can’t get the 2mm driver in there. I’m going to have to take the transmission out to get to that sucker. Poor quality control and assembly by HPI because I hear a lot of people have the same problem

I really hate to tell you. the X01 is JONK> and perfect pass will not help you in a speedrun, as this JONK will spin out and all your hard earned money will be wasted. The ticket is Arrma. I ripped out the esc and motor and introduced a sledge hammer to the rest of the car. Even if your going to do a drag race, you will not be successful with perfect pass, as it was made for speed runs in my opinion. I have ten of them with other perfect pass products. Instead of buying a 1K transmitter, LOL..... Get yourself a Limitless chassis and build it from their. Their is always a sucker to buy that chassis.

Iv owned a Savage with the 5.9 For quite sometime, beast of a machine but as yet never actually used it due to running like a bag of spanners, either too rich, too lean or just simply won't start!!! Looks nice on the shelf tho👍👍👍

Cool video, I have an older XO-1 myself that has a Hobbywing Max 6 with 4985SL 1,650KV other that mostly stock but last run i bent a half shaft on the left front driveshaft and i stripped the stock plastic spur gear. I'm thinking about putting in a Castle MMX8s with sensored 1717 1,650KV or keeping the Max 6 combo i also looked into new driveshafts since the stock ones aren't that great.

I noticed your running a metal spur in your Slash. I have a DR-10 and a Bigfoot that I have upgraded the electronics on both. They seem to be good for one or 2 packs and then the gear is toast. I was told by the manager at a hobby store I visit that upgrading to metal will create all kinds of problems. It's not like the plastic spur gears are very expensive so I just swap them when they strip out. What are your thoughts on that? Couldn't you just adjust the slipper to compensate for steel gears? Oh by the way thanks for the sub and I have to complement you on your car collection. It's Awesome ! 👍👍

Nice run for sure. Congrats. The Limitless seems to hug the ground better than the X01 but maybe that's just a fluke. My money goes to the Limitless. Maybe some day I'll get one. 👍💯💯

Thanks for sharing the Perfect Pass. I have heard about Perfect Pass before but had no idea what it was. I was under the impression that Throttle Exponential was the same thing. If you have a good radio it seems like that is basically the same concept. I have no idea but I have noticed that some cars just spin out more on takeoff than others. All things being equal. Great video for sure.

Cool hotrod Brother. Back in 1990 I built a R/C funnycar powered by a "White Lightning" Solid Booster Rocket engine. It did the scale 1/4 mile in less than a second. Was so fast I couldn't control it. By the time you could react, it was already through it. It was a novelty but Maaan was it cool. Shot fire and smoke out the back.....
