Crazy Close Call On Highway #1 Canada
Honda driver tried to merge in from the emergency lane without checking surroundings almost resulted in an accident. This happened on Highway 1 in, BC Canada.

you must have got a bad one cos i had one for 2 years, quite as a mouse , passat build was always high .............. i had no trouble with it , only think that was a little stang was electric handbrake on a manual car ..............
I have just recently bought a 2010 Volkswagen R. Line and kove it. I don't have panaeamic roof. But love the black on black learher bucker seats. + its fast as hell.
I agree with some of the interior rattling. It is not surprising as just about every car has a weak spot. Visibility is a definite yes. Too bad you never got into the mechanics, they are a nightmare if you don't do the maintenance. Get ready for a water pump, de-carbon of the intake manifold, and lastly replacing the timing chains (all problems with the 2.0T engine). Those engine issues will probably cost you $5000.00
1st dislike is probably a production line mistake 2nd dislike is normal for plastic parts, learn to live with it 3rd dislike is since the doors are frameless, the glass has to rattle to shake off the vibration 4th dislike is an opinion I'd say, that's up in the air 5th dislike is since the car isn't a sporty car like you even said, it doesn't have a super stiff suspension. Its a normal Coupe I love my 2013 CC LUX I installed a back camera in my 2013 Volkswagen CC LUX headrest block everything and what a difference Very minor as far as dislikes I think I would have bought a totally different car

All models have paddle shifters, mine is 2009 and has them so don’t worry about that , and they work really good

Agree on 1-3 because you are paying a ton for German engineering. 4 is not an issue because that is what you give up for the style, plus I have never had an issue with visibility in my 2012 CC. However, backup camera would be cool
What is the year? Some years were worse than others...minute and half in and I don't know what year. Out of here.

How is the maintenance cost?
I've always heard that. But since I got mine I really don't agree. Cosmetic and other OEM parts are high but if you know how to shop and do your own minor maintenance (or at least have a trusted mechanic ) its not much more than anything else I've owned. I think the entire stigma around vws being pricey is from people who just don't take care of them and have to replace major components as a result.

I have a 2009 VR6 Sport (4Motion, wasn't sold here without it, unless you got a smaller engine). These 4 months with the car have been great! Absolutely LOVE the engine, DSG is fast and the car looks very good. Finnish harsh winters and the frameless windows are a questionable combo, but generally; great car. Very relaxing to drive for a longer period (even though I feel like the car could use some added insulation for road noise dampening). Could use more power, though. It's a heavy car with only 300 HP. It doesn't drink as much fuel as I expected, thanks to DSG and Haldex making the car 4WD only if necessary. My previous car was an Audi A4 with the 3.2 V6. It had less power, less torque, car was also lighter. It still gave me the same fuel economy, about 10 litres/100km. I do miss that permanent Torsen 4WD, but overall... One hell of an upgrade the Passat CC really is.
@@EFerrorfile I’m glad you’re happy with it. Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to a nicer CC or who knows maybe even an Arteon lol

I have a 2010 VW Passat CC in Hong Kong. It was made in Germany. I do not share same problems (except for visibility).
