Always concerns me when people use the wrong term. It is not a window sill. A window sill is on the outside of a property.

I would never buy a place where they papered the ceiling. Besides the fact that it looks ugly, it’s a red flag to other expensive problems. There may be damp in the corner or the owner is masking a crumbled ceiling which may crash down to the floor when the wallpaper is removed!

I have had great success with scooping seeds out of a fruit (before cooking of course) using a spoon and then breaking the clumps apart. The seeds are then spread on a baking tray to dry in a sunny spot. After a few days I pop them into a paper envelope which I date, make sure to remove any pithy remnants of the fruit. I have recently germinated a batch from seeds taken this way 2 years ago. We are in NZ and I came across a seed pack in our local hardware store which was from Australia! Being SAn I jumped at the opportunity. I've not seen them in stores since.

Does anyone have any advice for how to repair a torn piece that is hanging when you don't have any extra paper or all the tools? We have a torn piece at the dress store where I work. It drives me crazy but I don't think they would let me spend too much time on it or use anything that has a strong smell. Thanks for any tips!
