What if water gets on top of the underlay and sits between the vinyl and the underlay? Are there holes in the dimples so it could drain? Or at this point, is the water trapped?

Is there any health concerns that I should be aware of with the insulation type you are using? Are there asbestos risks we should consider with that type of insulation? Especially with the heat and humidity added? I have no idea so I thought I’d ask. Thanks! Awesome content! Very inspirational!!

This is the insulation we use in Canada for wood frame. That to spray foam. I know of no health risks for installed fiberglass insulation it does not contain asbestos

This video was immensely helpful. Like others, I had a hard time with that one bolt in the duct up against the firewall. What worked for me was Tekton SHD08108. It's a thin shallow 8mm socket on one end, a 1/4" drive on the other, and a universal joint in the middle. By deflecting the universal joint 90 degrees, I was able to work the drive end with my fingertips and back the bolt out. Had a bottle jack in the passenger footwell pushing up against the box to create space. Apart from that, the video made everything a piece of cake.

I also have the same version amp you have here.. Series 1 404 x 5. I am chasing a squeal on shutdown (complete power removal). For starters I have replaced the same 6 you were taking about for the hum issue, I relocated mine to the other side of the board to be completely away from the hot resistors. Should help their life span. I want to continue on to recap the rest and do what ever else I need to to bring this beautiful amp back into spec. What gets me is that this amp is definitely not made to come apart. Just to remove any board means you pretty much has to remove all of them because of the fully soldered connectors between the power supply board and each amp board. Any advice on desoldering those connectors? I am on the fence if I should continue or just enjoy the amplifier as is. Certainly don't want to make matters worse. I have fixed a fair number of power amps but this one is special to me . .

Bottom line, don’t use self clean feature. Secondly, connect wires on door latch to fool computer into thinking the door is closed, or close the switch if it’s not internal and jam something In there to keep the switch closed, same result. Older ovens did not have that door lock feature. If you used the broiler, you would open the door about a third of the way to keep an eye on your food browning…..then the safety nazis showed up!

Perfection. All I can say is THANK YOU my friend. You did an outstanding job of explaining each detail and your help was key to that going smooth. 2010 Platinum here and I WAS using the defrost and it was quite a loud pop as I drove down the freeway. Pulled off, hazards on, saw nothing that had maybe hit the truck or otherwise.... Days later while backing up, over my shoulder I noticed the right panel was shattered but in tact. Scratched my head for a while and looked for the culprit...maybe a loose strap flying and metal buckle hit... Had it been like this since helping someone move...BAFFLED. Ordered OEM from local glass shop and was looking for a good tutorial on here. Found you and discovered what really shattered my window. I was indeed using the defrost that cold morning, mostly use it for my side mirrors. Been using this defrost for over 10 years without issue. Thanks Ford. I placed a kill switch on the hot line (passenger side), left it in the OFF position and ran it under the seat for easy access. The next guy can wonder what this leads to :-). Anyways, THANK YOU for all your hard work. I'll try to pay it forward again and again. Derek
