These are very hard to come by these days and they're extremely marked up when you can find them. At least that's how its been for me trying to find them fort the last 6 months in the states. I wish I could find them somewhere in a size 10 for $200 or less. Nice pick up and nice review!

Another thing is the fit. The leather is pretty thick and takes a while to break in , also a welted shoe takes a while to break in but when they do then they will be extremely comfortable! its actually totally normal for high quality leather to crease like that cheap leather has a coating on it so as to give a uniform look,, Buy some wooden shoe trees and after wear put the shoe trees in and that will help. Also, wear some socks even if it's the hidden type as that makes these full leather shoes more comfortable. The insole is a very thick hard leather. It takes a while to break in, it actually forms to the bottom of your foot to give a custom footbed which again will take a while to happen when it does and you feel the inside where your toes are you will feel the indentations of your toes! The interior colour is because no dyes are used, it's natural leather which is good. If you look after them and renew the heels when you have worn them down and replace the soles when the time comes these shoes will literally last you a lifetime unlike those fashion brand ones which cost double but are half the quality. One last thing use good quality shoe cream on them (not hard wax), it will feed the leather and make it more supple over time, Saphir is the best brand!

I am English but live in Austria. Ludwig Reiter are the most famous higher end made to measure shoe maker here. The quality is outstanding and for what you get are a bargain over fashion brand shoes like laboutin and such. If you ever get to Vienna I highly recommend visiting their factory in the 22nd district and their factory store where you can get some huge discounts! You should also check out their sneakers, beautifully made and super comfortable. The pronunciation is rIter, the first e is silent.
Per the insert that comes with the extra footbeds, they can also be used to make a loose fit tighter.
These boots are amazing! I got it in a European size 41 (for comparison, I got a 41,5 in Red Wing and a 42 in RM Williams). They are lightweight, very comfortable. Had some heel irritation the first two days, but after that.. it was all good.
What about the extra insoles,is it compulsory to wear it or,optional?

To be honest, I haven’t worn those before, so I can’t give you a direct comparison. It might be worth looking up a video on that version and then comparing it to mine. I hope this helps :)

@@philipdiuno I have classic rain boots and crush boots (with platform). I love both. Classic is more practical and universal, crush is more fashionable, but both very comfortable 💗

Hey thanks 🙂 They still look great. I added the extra footbeds that they came with so they don’t hurt as much. Compared to my previous Chelsea boots, though, these are much better.

i spend 16 hrs a day in work boots so a good pair are a must for my feet. these are worst boots i have ever bought fekin crap i went back to the V12 boot.
Sorry about that mate. To be frank though, mine started hurting a little bit after day one but nothing too serious that I’d go back to my old pair. I’ll probably do an update review pinpointing this. Thanks for sharing your experience.

how are your feet feeling after 8 - 10 hours of wear? What socks are you wearing?
To be honest, they felt great the first day I wore them. However, they started hurting a little bit afterwards. But nothing serious like my previous ones. The socks weren't that thick though; 79% cotton,19% polyamide and 2% elastane (according to Zara). I hope this helps 🙂

Oh! It should normally. I wear UK size 8 (EU 42) and mine was perfect. However, in one of the comments I received, the guy seemed to have gotten the wrong ones. So I’d suggest contacting the company through their official website before making a purchase as it might differ by country. I hope this helps 😊
