My theory:The reason only finnick and katniss were the only ones being tortured is because the others had nobody left alive that they loved. Peeta had katniss but it wouldn’t work on him because katniss would be right there so he would know she is safe. We don’t really know much beeties family so idk about him

In my opinion Peeta was destroyed by this. He had to watch the only girl he loved being tortured and traumatised for an HOUR. I’m not saying this didn’t traumatise Katniss but I think it also took a toll on Peeta.
