I would say the price point seems fair, just for the number of standee's included. I think they could have maybe made two packs one for vehicles and one for characters and maybe lowered the price point and made it more accessible. No idea on the scale, I would imagine some would be used as terrain on the map while others could be for actual vehicle vs vehicle combat scenarios. Thanks for watching!

Castle ravneloft is extremely punishing and a tough game to beat. So sometimes the party wants to bend the rules a bit. These are a few ones that we have tried. The other game boards made after legend of Drizzt, are a lot easier because some encounter cards say “nothing happens.” And man is that a relief. Sometimes some encounter actually help you out. Ravenloft could have used those same style of encounters to make the game less punishing. But even though ravenloft is tough, it’s my favorite out of them all

I think part 2 would be great for a one shot, you can summarize the plot of the first chapter and jump right into the action! You can even mix it up a bit and have a lieutenant or tweek an enemy to be the big bad of that fight. Thanks for watching!

Yeah its very different, it suffers a bit from the lack of progression that some superhero rpg's share. but the way it has you define the powers really opens up creativity in the gameplay department. At least thats my take on it. Thanks for watching!

@@northsunTabletopGames I kind of like it to be fair, oddly enough it fits the genre better than it would in a standard fantasy one. In superhero comics, most of the time heroes aren't actually getting stronger as time goes on. But they may undergo significant changes, like when Spidey got overtaken by Doc Ock. That's the kind of "progression" the game wants to facilitate, as rather than adding on to your skillsets, the game encourages you to change your powers/principles/abilities to reflect what your hero has undergone in the story arc you just finished. You're not strictly getting stronger, you're just changing and that is just as interesting imo despite our innate desire to "level up" as it were. I genuinely think it's kind of genius, because it IS true to comics. When you think about it in terms of true linear progression, all those Marvel and DC heroes gain overtime is experience, which is also reflected in this game in the form of the issue collections. And they do make a significant difference as you get more and more of them, raising your average numbers by a good amount. Not to mention the hero points you gain from previous issues to affect the next session. It really is creative the way it tackles this.

Yeah I like it too, I was more thinking in general terms that for some groups the progression may be a tough sell for folks who really like to upgrade their characters. but with that being said, i do think it would be easy to houserule a progression system using the die tiers or setting limits with how many powers qualities, etc during character creation. dont get me wrong though its a great game!!

Awesome, I really enjoy the essence 20 system, I've been GM'ing GIjoe for a while now with my friends, we have done the pitt mission, emerald oubliette and now working thru the operation cold front module. It can definately use a 2nd edition with some refinements but its still a fun system!

Switching weapons does cost a standard action, however, using the infernal flame is also a standard action and the morning star is one handed. so I don't think there is any penalty in that case. at least that is my interpretation from the rules at the bottom of page 66. Oh one thing I was wondering though should all the vorlegs attacks do poison damage? I was playing it like it was just the bite....

You applied no combat failure rule from fanzine supplement. Otherwise, both failure in combat does nothing, regardless of combat skill

Does magic attack trigger body location ?
