Saw this show in Madison on Oct 12th.Special guest was Be Bop Deluxe. Boston had maybe just released their debut album, so had to be one of their first concerts. BOC was at the top of their game in the late seventies and early eighties Alan Lanier was an unsung force in that band.

This was my first time seeing BÖC. We came down from Glens Falls by bus. German Prog trio Triumvirat opened. Academy of Music was the coolest older theatre. Between bands everyone raced downstairs to the lobby outside the bathrooms for a major smoke-out. We met some city dude with potent bud and as we passed it around I suddenly went blind. I couldn't see. Next thing I know, I wake up as I'm being carried outside! After sitting and getting some air I was fine to see the Cult. You could say I really did OD on life at a Blue Öyster Cult show. 😂

😡WTF, UA-cam stops 7 Screaming Diz Busters halfway in the song for a damn commercial ? (Edit: They stopped song twice.)

Gerry those pics of them from the warehouse new orleans I'm trying so desperately to find again. They were on my hard drive and I lost them. One featured a bad ass shot of Alan playing his les paul with an iron cross. I think I found them on Tumblr. Any idea where they are now?

I can't help but hear Hold Me Tight, Buck's demo of this song. Both versions are masterpieces.

Only thing missing from this was Bloom saying beforehand, "We're gonna play some old, some gold, and some mold!"

All things considered; BOC is probably the best collaborative song-writing act ever.

Saw these guys for the first time in 1971 I was 12 years old then I went on to see him about 35 times in the next seven years and more after that then I promoted their solo stuff. Got to meet them a lot of them one of the best bands ever, certainly the best live band🎶🎶🎶. Finally them in Detroit in 1999. Peter got me tickets!! Wow!!

I bet the first time Buck played this for his wife, she was blown away and so very happy to hear such an emotional song for her.

That must have been so great seeing BÖC and the New York Dolls together in 1974. If I had a backwards-traveling time machine, that would definitely be one of my destinations.
