    Whoa! I watched the video after I used the printed recipe to make and I was like "WHAT?! A whole stick of butter?!" The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons not 8!

      Holy moly Diane, I’m so glad you caught that, thank you! The recipe is correct - 2 tbsp. I must have adjusted the quantity & forgot to correct it on the video (I will edit it). How did your quiche turn out?

      Believe it or not, sugar isn’t always vegan, due to how it is processed, which often includes bone char.

    In response to Victoria's question earlier (Sorry, I can't find it on this page right now) - I use 50/50 shortening and vegan butter for a couple reasons. The shortening makes the crust flakier and the butter adds flavor. I also find that using all shortening can make the dough too soft.

    As an idiot, non-cook, speaking for other idiot non-cooks, I would have liked to have known how much spinach I should have bought to make a cup and a half of cooked spinach in your recipe. I bought a whole container of spinach that turned out WAY short of a cup and a half.

      Oh dear, you are so right. It’s surprising how a big bunch of fresh spinach can cook down to a tiny amount. Your point is well taken & I will add more information to the recipe regarding the fresh vs cooked quantity, as well as using frozen spinach as an option. I do hope you used what you had and made your quiche. The beauty about this recipe is it is pretty flexible.

    I don’t throw out the seed pods. They are just as good as the rest of it. Shred them with your fingers and you’re good to go.

    I'm so excited I found your UA-cam page. You're going to broaden my horizons. I'm going to follow your recipies to give us more variety. My husband was Vegan for about a year, I've been Vegan for 3, then he started eating animal products again because our variety was so limited and he said he was hungry all the time. He got tired of trying to figure out what to eat so he makes meals such as hot dog, chili and tuna. 🤮 He may never go back to full Vegan but maybe some of these recipes will change his mind. He knows the effects eating animal plays on the lives of all the poor animals and human health but still caved in. I like simple meals so these are easy recipes for me to follow. You got a new follower! 😊

      @@TheCarrotUnderground I share your video with my husband, first thing he said was "Wow, beautiful kitchen" ha ha ha He enjoyed your video as well, so we will watch your past videos and future videos together. Being Italian and missing so many tasty dishes as been hard so I will definitely check out the recipies you have referred me to. Becoming Vegan wasn't to hard after seeing what all these poor animals go through for the pleasure of someone's pallet. Also the benefits meat has on our health is also something to be highly considered. I was very sick at one time and once my Natropath took me off dairy and eggs I started to have great improvements. I was blown away! After that meat came into play and after watching all the documentries online on how they are tortured and treated that was it for me. Have a great day! One thing I've learned is, just because a product is stamped Vegan doesn't mean its healthy. There are some bad ingredients in alot of products so you just have to know which ones to stay clear of.
