Day 2 of my trillion dollar journey. Building a foundation, and having a bit of fun. See you tomorrow.
Day 1 of Becoming a Trillionaire

Day one or one day? The start of my own impossible dream. I don't have a plan; I don't need one. I just need to keep going. Keep creating. Keep building. Daily documentation of my progress towards an impossible, unachievable dream. Because better to go for it and die trying. Right?

A recap of the later segments of my European adventure. A story that weaves together my time in Florence and Paris, with the common thread of the journey being my discovery of an emerging brand called Objekt. That's clothes, food, views, and more (haven't hit the museums yet, but I will). Come along for the ride and maybe some webcam footage of the robbery...maybe. Hope you all enjoyed, and please let me know in the comments which segments...

Rome has the best men's fashion, I personally have ever seen. The tailoring is exquisite, and the Romans have a fantastic knack for color and layering. I try to tap into this by hitting some of the local spots and flea markets, as well as, hitting established Italian brands like Gutteridge. Come along as we explore beautiful clothes, views, and food. - P.S. my bank account is struggling...

Last days in New York before I head out to Europe for a few weeks. Come along as we explore the renowned Chelsea Flea Market (slightly overhyped) and head to my favourite perfume shop. I'll also go over some new clothes and looks that I've been wearing. i actually believe in you, cant wait to see how you do it
Good luck on your journey. I am curious, what is the start up you are an intern at?
I was here 🥹
Dont forget us bro😊
Remember me when you make it big.
if you wanna achieve this start working harder bro
I'm trying bro. Just doing a little more and trying to be a little better every day.
Good luck, prove us wrong that this isn't some pipe dream.
Not sure if you are joking or not but in order to become a trillionaire you'd have to cause more harm to tens, possibly hundreds of millions of people indirectly or directly to achieve that money. Immoral. Aim for getting a sum of money that's not a large amount and will allow you to live with or without dependents; let's say somewhere around $100K per year.
The caveat being I want to make a trillion while doing good for the world. Ten times as hard, but the only way I will ever be able to live with myself. The flip side of your argument is that I can create value for tens or hundreds of millions through my actions. It's my dream, and I want to do it the right way
Good Luck Mr. Jackson
Since you want an honest opinion: the bone-grinding and the part where you're so close to the camera that the lens fogs up are the intense parts that one will remember a month later. The parts before and after that seem a bit arbitrary. You could enhance the effect of the video by condensing it so that only the intense parts remain. The medium-dark grey T-shirt, the light grey trousers and the light blue shorts look very good on you again - another argument that you belong to one of the three or four (depending on the color classification system) summer color types. I wanted to name the title of a suitable UA-cam video about colors, but then the comment is deleted as spam ... By the way, I've noticed that people automatically look wealthier when they wear colors that match their color type :-).
I just rewatched my video and was instantly bored. I completely agree with your feedback. We need to be engaged. Visually and auditorily. I will try better on my next upload. Maybe I need to take more time in between videos. Or just get better at editing faster. What did you think of my NYC video? I thought that was one of my better ones.
@@FineasJackson It's not a bad thing if you haven't found your final style in the first few videos :-). I don't think one video a day is healthy, otherwise you'll end up with burnout after a few weeks. Two or three videos a week seems more realistic to me. I compared your old videos again. I found the NYC video very entertaining and funny. It is visually and auditorily very elaborately edited: Text overlays, music, ringing and clicking sounds feel subtle and natural, which is why you can use a relatively large amount of them. I would only use human sound effects such as cheering or astonishment very, very sparingly, otherwise the video can quickly appear over-edited and old-fashioned. BUT: The videos from Rome, Florence and Paris work at least as well, although they are less elaborately edited and not always technically perfect. This is simply because you can tell when someone is passionate about a subject. Someone who is passionate about a subject only needs to turn on the camera and turn it off again after 20 minutes, without having to edit anything. The enthusiasm is then even transferred to people who are not normally interested in the subject.
Such brilliant feedback, thank you! I think the older videos connect well with people who have a real love for fashion, but they don't perform as well in terms of engagement. People tend to click away during the long bits of talking with no music/sound effects. I'm still finding my style and balance, but I definitely don't want to lose the humanity and passion elements that were present in my europe videos, as it is very native to me. I also can't get too lost in the numbers and metrics game or else I will just end up with Mr. Beast videos yelling about some random stunt...lol.
@@FineasJackson I have forgotten the thumbnails. I think the Paris thumbnail is the most suitable so far: bright, bold and with a geometric character that reminds me a bit of Wes Anderson movies (and luckily not of the tacky, oversaturated thumbnails of Mr. Beast ;-))
You could make a whole ASMR video just grinding raw chicken.
It is the most sick and satisfying sound ever. Glad you came back for day 2!

Remember to get a frame for your first dollar. But isn't that beside the point since you have to spend money on the frame? But you have to spend money to make money, so they say.
I'd rather frame this comment of a day 1 supporter! Thank you, and if I may, I would love some honest feedback on the direction of my channel. I don't want to lose the fashion focus, but I want to add more "life" stuff as well. What do you think of the new videos? Did you prefer the content just talking about clothes? Any suggestions? Please be harsh, I need a real critique. Thank you again!
@FineasJackson I'm probably the wrong person to ask because I love seeing into people's lives -- even the mundane stuff. I used to love reading people's blogs way back in the day, even if they had nothing substantive to say. So I would say more more more.
That is exactly what I will do. Thank you Jimmy!
Good luck!
Thank you! More of a daily vlog than anything else, but we will see where it goes!

Haha I wish. What was your honest opinion on the video though? I want to make content that my original subscribers-like you-enjoy and will watch. Would you prefer more fashion stuff? Please be harsh as all feedback is super helpful. Thank you for watching!
@@FineasJackson Harsh criticism is not difficult for me, I'm usually much more honest than I should be :D. I found the video very poetic and artistic and watched it several times because I wanted to understand how you achieved this effect. Especially by amplifying sounds that are normally very quiet, you created a mysterious atmosphere that would make the video work as a final project in a university film and media course :-). Most guides say that as a UA-camr you should concentrate on one topic at the beginning. However, I personally don't like it when people reduce themselves to one characteristic. Your last videos were very varied and always a little surprise - that's one of your strengths in my eyes. So, I would continue to focus on fashion and occasionally cover other topics (70/30 ratio). About your outfit: You look fantastic in light colors with a medium-high contrast level, like your outfit in the café. They look much better on you than outfits that contain a lot of black and very strong contrasts. You could make a video in which you analyze your color type (I assume you are a cool summer type according to the 16-season color system, but you should test this more precisely). With the results of the analysis, you could very consciously choose clothes that not only look good but look perfect on you.
Wow Fabian, brilliant; I will have to look into the 16-season color type. I have also found that light blues always worked well with me, as they match my eyes. I will continue to incorporate fashion, it has definitely been on the back burner recently. The good news is that I am trying to upload every single day, so there will be massive variation in my content. I'm very grateful that you took the time to get back to me. Feedback is everything for me as I try to refine my style, creative direction, and editing skills. Stay tuned for tomorrow's upload!
Sorry , but I didn't like the denim jacket. It looked like it had something spilt on it. It looked like it had been rescued from a rubbish bin.
I'm on 5:30 and so far resonating with your message, I feel the unicità, Do you have an ig?
Unfortunately no. Only UA-cam! Glad you are enjoying the video!
Sì, Roma è una bella città. Solo se ti piacciono le strade sporche, se si apprezza la gente irrimediabilmente ignorante e razzista (quali sono TUTTI gli italiani) e il malgoverno cronico ed eterno.
A mixture of a designer, an eccentric physics professor, a philosopher ... and now even a comedian (I had to laugh so hard). Objekt-de opened a pop-up store in Berlin's Torstrasse on Friday with a preview of the new a/w collection. In fact, Objekt's style fits this neighborhood like a cliché :-).
I always try to keep everyone guessing with my videos haha. I just do what's natural and try my best to shape it into something that makes sense. I had a lot of fun making this video, and I'm glad that you got a few laughs out of it! That's amazing that you saw the pop-up shop! I wish I had been in Berlin to check it out myself. If you went, was there anything noteworthy that caught your eye? Thank you for taking the time to comment! -Fineas
@@FineasJackson That was a misunderstanding, unfortunately I only found out about the pop-up shop later via Instagram and didn't see it myself. I was actually near the shop at the weekend and would of course have taken photos for you if I had known about it :-). You would love the area around the shop, it's very similar to Orchard Street with its art galleries, restaurants and alternative fashion stores. I'm curious to see what character trait you'll surprise us with in the next video Fabian
Back from Europe.
Back to making NYC videos! Hope you liked it :)
If that's how you are just on caffeine, I would hate to see you on actual uppers. That is wild. But love love love love love the boots.
That's why I stay away lol. To be fair Vietnamese coffee is super strong. And yes, those boots are amazing! I will definitely talk more about them in a pickups video. Hope I made you laugh at some point in the video. Cheers!

Why? Boredom. I'm too lazy to off myself. I want to point and laugh at things/people. I want to be wowed. :) I know that doesn't sound motivation-speaker-like, but it's real life. Well, my life. Eh. But don't worry too much about it. Purpose is overrated.

What is the brand and model of your new camera. I might be in the market for a new one myself. Seems like you're loving this new one.
Sony Zv-e1. It’s an absolute beauty. The image is unlike anything I’ve ever dealt with (because I only ever had my phone and cheaper cameras). Full frame, good built in mic, and works well with APS-C lenses. I got it $400 off on B and H. If you want a good mic, DJI Mic 2.
@@FineasJackson Thanks!
Thank you very much for your interesting and personal videos! It is exciting to watch your travels in your search for your personal style. It seems that simple and pure suits you very well and therefore I wonder all the time how the menswear by Jil Sander ("The Queen of Clean Chic") would suit you. These clothes are incredibly expensive, but if you studied their design language, you could find and try something less expensive. I wish you continued joy and success on your journey!
Jil Sander is one I've been meaning to look into. The Queen of Clean is such a fantastic catch phrase! The prices are insane, out of range-for now. The style reminds me a bit of Eileen Fisher, which I really like as well. I went to the shop the other day and tried on some of the clothes (I know they are women's). Some of the cuts were beautiful and I had to talk myself out of buying a t-shirt. Definitely an aesthetic I will be exploring! Thank you for the recommendation!
Thank you very much for your reply! I think it's great that you're crossing boundaries between menswear and womenswear in your search for your style, because it really opens you up to new experiences with different fabrics and cuts! I would like to apologise for suggesting Jil Sander! It has obviously been far too long since I have seen clothes from this company. Jil Sander has sold her company and hasn't worked for them for a long time and I have just realised that the design that is now on offer has very little to do with the original! Her minimalist style with clear lines and sharp cuts always reminded me of the Bauhaus motto: "form follows function". So I withdraw my suggestion! Have you ever considered consulting a professional Personal Colour Analysis? I am aware that such advice limits your freedom to wear whatever you like, but on the other hand it also helps you to choose colours consciously and thus to be able to control your spending on clothes more strategically.
Thank you for your reply! I love these long form conversations, and the fact that this video is becoming a style forum of sorts! A professional Personal Colour Analyst is a very interesting suggestion. I would definitely like to meet one and discuss colour and how it fits into my own style, but to be honest, I like spending everything I have on clothes. I know it sounds crazy, and in some ways it limits other aspects of my life, but it feels like it unlocks the ultimate freedom to explore. I'm at the age where I'd rather spend now when the money is less important and try to build something meaningful to me, in hopes that the spending and subsequent exploration can carry me through the rest of life. That being said, if you know of any, please let me know! Exploration is the key word for me, and I'm happy to try anything and everything that will help advance my style and taste. Thank you again for your comment and for the great conversation!
You're right, you shouldn't lose the fun in the process! After all, clothing is a form of communication and styles and colours can say a lot. The only suggestion I can give you is not to take clothing too seriously; it is one way of expressing yourself - and you should be aware of what you are "saying" - but it is also just one way among many others. At the end of the day, it's just fashion, nothing more, but also nothing less. I think the most important thing is to persue your dreams and enjoy doing it.
Rome is absolutely the most romantic city I've been to in Europe. I lived in Italy for 3 years and Rome will forever be where my heart is.
I feel exactly the same brother. Something so special about the feeling and vibe there.
@@FineasJackson Paris, great. London, fantastic! But Rome is emotional 🥲
OMG ARE YOU RELATED TO BILLIE EILISH?!!
Unfortunately no, but I have a brother named Ferb.
Keep up the great work! The content is authentic and entertaining!
Thank you so much! Welcome to the channel, and welcome to the journey!
I love the special atmosphere of your videos (please marry me :D). They inspired me to order clothes from Italy for the first time. I pray that the Italian cuts will fit me because Italians are on average up to 10 cm shorter than people in other parts of Europe, which is why Italian designers seem to work with slightly different body proportions.
Haha, I'm glad to hear you tried out Italian clothes and thank you for the wonderful compliment!!! Which shop did you purchase from, if I may ask? Definitely a style to get used to-a slimmer and shorter, almost more boyish cut. But it is such an elegant look. Let me know how everything works out, and if you need any recommendations for stores, I am more than happy to help!
@@FineasJackson I ordered from Gutteridge, a brand I got to know thanks to your Rome video. So you are now officially a fashion influencer ;-). The parcels will arrive next week. In the meantime, I've watched all the videos by and about Gutteridge that I could find and I've done a lot of research into the characteristics of Neapolitan tailoring. If you know of any other brands with classic Italian “sprezzatura style” that can be bought online in Europe and that are in a similar price and quality category to Gutteridge, I would be very grateful. Do you know Sciamat? Some of their pieces are perhaps more art than wearable fashion, but I find it so interesting how they take the Italian idea of deconstructing the stiff English suit to an extreme.
Yes, Gutteridge is a fantastic choice! I found a different brand in Rome called Strategic Business Unit. They are a bit more expensive, but of an incredibly high quality. Better than Gutteridge, in my opinion. Their website is weird though, and everything says sold out (at least for me in the US). I feel like they may just not ship to the US, because when you switch to other languages, the products are available to purchase. It may be worth looking into, if you are interested. Also, I stumbled on this brand Boglioli while shopping one day in NYC. They are also more expensive-out of my price range, but the stuff was definitely class. Velasca for shoes-the best for the price by a wide margin (at least from what I have seen). Sciamat is new to me; thank you for the recommendation!
@@fabian_fabian_fabian Very glad to hear everything worked out!
As obscene as your spending might be, if they are things you cherish then it's all right. You never hear anyone regretting they don't have more money saved up in their 401ks. And travel travel travel. Especially in your 20s.
Haha, yes! Obscene is the perfect word, but at least it's entertaining, right? I always follow my heart and hope the rest will work out. And so far it has...to an extent. Thank you for watching, and if you want more I'm going to do a total haul in my next video for the whole Europe trip. Welcome to the journey!
I can't even explain why, but I guess I'm intrigued by any young person obsessed with creative endeavors. Perhaps it is a surprise to find out you're a computer science major, but it just shows that you are multifaceted. I haven't been to Paris in 20 years. I must return. You are right, Paris is magical and more like the movies than anyone can possibly imagine until they set foot in that place.
Thank you Michael. Yes, I am obsessed. The ultimate goal is to design my own pieces and make my own garments, but one step at a time. Super excited to have you along for the process, and to have such strong interest and support from someone who is also very creatively inclined. Maybe this is your sign to take a trip to Paris! Thank you again for commenting, it is very much appreciated.
@@FineasJackson Well, I finally broke my European travel hiatus with my tour of Northern Italy in June, so perhaps Paris is in the cards. I'm also am overdue for a London Theatre binge. I also just need to get back to New York and see all my old friends this coming year--maybe in April.
New York is very vibrant; it is where I am currently based. And all the hype about the crime and the safeness is a bit overdone. Haven't ran into any issues myself. Would definitely recommend coming back. I've never been to London, how is it there?
@@FineasJackson London is great and its own unique experience--full of history of course. I go for the theatre, but also do the sight seeing things during the day. Plenty of great shopping. The mens tailoring shops are old school quality.
Why are you wearing that denim jacket on a “boiling hot” day? 😅
Everyday is a dress up day. Temperature is just a concept
Sorry, dude, but that leather jacket is terrible quality.
Maybe you have to see/smell/touch the jacket before a judgement is made. Definitely not the top of the line (Tom Ford), but when compared to something like a Schott, I think the quality is definitely there. Vegetable tanned leather, solid hardware, and a great lining for $400. Idk...
Nice fashion video ✨✨✨
Thank you!
OK, you'e outfit at 4:45--the way your hair is done and the matching color of the shirt and scarf--you look like a silent film star--Valentino or the like.
Look up Fred Astaire wearing neck ties as belts. You could totally work that classy look. Also, look into vintage proper waisted trousers from late 1940s--those would look awesome on you. One company still making them is Revival Vintage.
Also look into Cathcart London for great 1940s men's clothes.
Both of these are fantastic! The tie as a belt is brilliant, and I will definitely try to work that it. I also really enjoy the proper waist trousers. The back is very unique. I've been thinking about getting a pair of suspender pants, so these would be a perfect segue.
@@FineasJackson Also, there's a trend now of a more full leg in recent fashion--the 1940s era pants fit right in with that.
I was just in Italy and posted a video about it (even used the same music at one point that you used). I'm intrigued about your great sense of style for an American (seems like you're American) so young. Your "About" section is so vague. You should do a video more about your personality so we can put you in context of others your age and from your part of the world. I like your use of scarves.
Michael, Thank you so much for your feedback, it is very much appreciated. I’m going to get to your comments one by one to give them the attention they deserve. I am indeed American, I am from New York (slightly outside of the city). I’ve always been fascinated and intrigued by dressing, and through my time in college I have had the chance to explore different looks and to find what works for me. Dressing more formally, as I do, is definitely unique at my school and for my age group, but I just love clothes and putting cohesive outfits together. Italy has been an inspiration for me; the men are incredibly polished here. More recently, I’ve been adding additional details to my outfits like handkerchiefs, as they add a lovely touch of color and visual interest. I will definitely do an about me style video at some point, and I will check out your video from Italy. -ciao
@@FineasJackson I was a New Yorker working in the Theatre industry between 2000 and 2014. The last 10 years I've been teaching Theatre at a private high school in California. I also noticed how well pulled together Italian men are. Being a high school teacher, I really noticed how the teenagers were dressing--even in casual summer clothes, they were much elevated from my California teenagers. The comparison was interesting. When I lived in New York I had reasons to be "dressed up" all the time. Now I have to create my own reasons for wearing my curated "New York" wardrobe.
