Toyota Mark X Gs GRX133 Sequential Mirror Indicator Install | 2GR-FSE
Hopefully another video to help other fellow Mark X owners.
I struggled to find any indicator info for our cars, specifically how to remove the mirror without destroying it. I managed to figure it out with some research into similar overseas models and safely got the mirror off.
Always be mindful that these are older cars and tabs may or may not be in one piece or there entirely, depending on history.

Just showing the installation process of this Blitz Strut Bar on my GRX133 Mark X. Did run into some minor issues with some brackets which you'll see in the video, though they were very simple to navigate. Hope this helps anyone looking into this strut bar! www.blackhawkjapan.com/products/blitz-96119-2?_pos=3&_sid=c52ff23c0&_ss=r

I tried to find a video on the internet to help me do this, but I couldn't locate one. So I decided to wing it and give it a go, and thought I'd make a video to help anyone who might need a visual. I know it seems very simple and straight forward, but some may find this useful just to be able to see what's involved. Hope you found this handy! Bulbs - www.ebay.com.au/itm/156301342207

Installing my new Carbon Fiber intake pipe from RR Racing in the USA. Was a super easy install, and fitment was perfect. Designed for the IS350, but exact same fitment for the Mark X. Will be re-using the breather hose to extend the distance of the breather away from the rocker cover, just because of the heat. @@GazooGs just seen it in my subscription box, keep up the good work for us Mark X owners!
Amazing car , congrats 😮Want this car since 20 years, one day i will have one of this dream car
I was the same bro! But they're so overpriced now, its crazy.
put in turbo next ?
I'd probably prefer a TRD or Modellista kit tbh over a Turbo.
That's nice! I've got TOM's front & rear strut bars. The only thing that annoys me is that it's kinda in the way of the dipstick so getting it out is awkward.
The Blitz bar can disconnect from the top so it makes it a bit easier to get in if needed. The Tom's stuff is cool. A friend of mine has a Tom's Mark X 300g, super cool!
Nice to know you can actually do this. I've got a 2014 Mark X G's in the UK. Coming from a Lexus IS250 and knowing how similar they are, I thought it wasn't possible because you can't take the bulbs out like that in the Lexus.
Glad this helped you man! That's why I'm doing these videos. :)
Still like my GRB STI more 😆

Did it came with the K&N filter or did you have to use the same air filter in the air box?
I purchased a K&N filter separately to replace the OEM one.

Trying to pick between one of these and GRS214. Nice car mate
Yeah I was in the exact same boat, except was looking at the non hybrid GRS204. I just preferred the sportier driving feel and the interior is super nice, comfortable and practical. Gives me more reason for a track day too!
What's the link to purchase one of these
In the description
Nice video dude, when are you going to change the exhaust? And what exhaust will you be planning on to install?
I've been thinking about it but not sure what the plan is. Heard plenty of people turn their 2GR into 350z trumpets so not really wanting to go extreme. Was thinking of doing custom mufflers just to add a small bit of sound, just to keep the deep tone and stay away from raspy crap. Full branded exhausts are too expensive to get shipped to Aus so don't really want to do that at the moment either.
@@GazooGs If you're after deep tone without rasp I suggest you use universal HKS mufflers. part no. 3106-EX007 It's difficult for videos to do it any justice, but it honestly sounds great and there's no drone on the motorway either. It's not really for volume seekers, but great for tone with a little bit of volume.
@@H3XME I'm very interested in that suggestion, thank you! I do prefer the quad tips look so I'll do some looking around!
For the KN filter add on, do you just select the Mark X model year corresponding?
Yeah that's right. I actually got my Panel filter separately on Ebay but the part number will be the same. K&N Panel Air Filter (33-2345). 😊
where did you buy could you post the link
Link's in the full video on my channel
Hey mate could you give a link for the intake and k&n filter? Cheers

Lovely mod done on your pride... sounding damn good now definitely. Cheers, THED #markxglobalalliance
Thank you! Loving the car.
I just got a white one ! Honestly probably my favourite daily I’ve ever owned . Now you have had it on for a while diD the ECU adjust to the extra airflow coming in ? First decent video I’ve seen on this intake . There’s not too much info on car here is AUS 🇦🇺 . really contemplating getting this intake . I’m also looking into better sway bars . Still too much roll for my liking . Also looking into a bit bigger lip spoiler for the boot as well . Any suggestions? Great videos greatly appreciated
@@jasonkay616 Haven't touched the ECU. Haven't really needed to. I've noticed nothing really available on UA-cam for our cars so hence my reasons for making videos for anything I do, whether it's door LEDS, or the new strut bar I just did on my recent video. I recommend the intake! It sounds amazing, and with the K&N panel filter which I've put in a few days after, it's perfect. I haven't looked into too much parts body wise, like the boot lip. I'm happy with the OEM. I would love something for the front bumper though, just hard to find something decent. Temu and Aliexpress seem to be our friends since they have the same car over in China but called "Reiz". You can find heaps of accessories, like cargo boot mat which I have and fits perfectly. Always happy to talk to fellow Aussie owners, feel free to post your insta if you have one!
Loving the car man, would you say this is the best daily you’ve ever owned?
This is definitely up there. My I30N Sedan is still probably my number #1, only just. It's features and performance made it hard to beat for its price. One of the best sounding modern day Turbo 4cyl, heaps of interior features and comforts. The only thing that made me sell up was the manual. If I had an auto from the start, I probably would have kept it. The Mark X is easily #2, then 3rd would be my Megane RS265 that I had a few years ago.
Thoughts on it so far?
Sooooooo comfortable to drive, it is a Toyota after all. What's surprised me the most is its fuel efficiency! I'm getting around 7-8L/100km in my last week. And plenty of power to have some spirited fun. Loving every minute. 😁
Hey bro was the res deleted on this?
Just the N1 Catback
is it a big difference compared to stock?
Definitely a bit louder, but not a stupid amount. You really notice the difference in pops and bangs. They have a lot more of a deeper crack in the higher rev range. Down low it is slightly louder on accel, but cruising still sounds the same from inside.
Because stock the I30N isn’t enough loud 😂🥰
I've heard these cars with downpipe and cat removed and it sounds silly. This is still fine to drive around in normal mode and N Mode is a bit more fun. Not as loud as what my Evo was 😂
What are your hp goals bro
Wanted to go for 400+ which was easily achievable, but ended up getting defected by cops 2 weeks after getting my run in tune done. Was the last straw for me at that point. Sold the car last year as it was the last thing holding me back from moving on. Dropped over 30k fixing it alone. About to buy my first house so life is much better now that the Evo is gone. Miss driving it, but don't miss owning it.
@@GazooGs I heard cops don't joke at all in Aus, why they did that though? Cops are exactly the same here bro... it's a never ending scene of cops chasing street racers or people who who modified their car and many cars are being impounded each day just because of a sticker in the windows or a tint!!!!.
What setup?
Stock I30N :)

Will these cams fit in a EVO 7 GTA model?

What mileage did the 4G63 blow? What bolt ons were there and what power was it being pushed to before it happened? Been looking at the market for an Evo 8 or 8MR since start of 2020 and its value has increased passed my initial budget of 35-40k AUD. I've heard of quite a lot of stories of the engine needing rebuilds so really want to see how risky it is now to buy because most 'stock' examples are already 110,000km mileage at my price range.
Hey mate! Engine blew at 140xxxkms. Had very basic bolt ons, Injectors, cams, exhaust, intake, that sort of stuff and was only tuned to 220kw. Mine was a very unfortunate case, but any old car you modify has a chance to go bad, that's just how it is when owning an older Turbo car. My car did have about 30xxx kms missing from its service history though, but my tune also wasn't the best as it was very rough sometimes, especially while idling. If you want to buy an Evo, just make sure you have full service history for it, and if it's a car that has been in storage or hasn't moved for a long time, avoid it. Pick a mechanic and stick with them for everything. You probably hear about lots of rebuilds, because no one really talks about their cars when they don't need rebuilds. I know so many owners who are running their Evo's with good mods done by good shops, pushing anywhere between 250-280kw with an unopened bottom end. I know for a fact the 8Mr and 9's have very strong bottom ends, so you're looking in the right direction and honestly the way prices are going with import laws changing over the world, the prices will only get higher for the Evo platforms. I recently saw an Evo 7/8 that had almost 300xxx kms and is still going strong.
@@GazooGs Thanks for the quick response and advice. Will make sure of all that when I'm looking, doing compression tests and getting a shop to look at it. I agree that the price will appreciate but am a bit nervous about previous owners and needing to rebuild. But I think it's worth it. Thanks again, looking forward to your rebuilding journey!
How well does it fit with the jdm rear bumper?
Fits fine on my bumper. Have a Varis diffuser now and no issues.
@@GazooGs Thank you
What's it like compared to the Evo? I've always wanted one of these and have an Evo 8 atm :) Seems to me to be one of the best value track cars around these days.
Hard to compare to be honest mate. The Renault is a ready to go package out of the box. Super easy to get into and throw it around and have some fun. As a daily it was fantastic (apart from no cupholders) and was a lot of fun to drive on the work commute. The Evo is completely different, but I'd say a more rewarding drive. Mine is currently getting built so after I track it I can really compare those two sides, but as it was my daily for about a year, I can really only say how it felt as a day to day driver, which wasn't actually that bad. It's comfy and can get on the power when I needed to have some fun, or get past the slow cars. I had to sell the Megane to pay for the Evo engine, but if I didnt need to I'd probably own it for much longer.
Stock evo?
At the time, yes sir!
Huge, can't wait for pt.2 x
Waiting patiently to get mine on track. The steering wheel looks like it isn’t retracted towards you looks like your reaching quite a bit on corners. Good sounds though

hey man im about to get 272L aswell, are they any good?
For drop in cams definitely.
The first part of the video sound very nice and lumpy, then after you rev’d it the lump goes away? Or does it get lumpy again after the idle settles down..
Once the revs settle it starts to lump again. :)
@@GazooGs pretty much sold on these cams! Did you need any tuning of the mivec maps for the lump or just drop in and was already like that?
@@raytubebl33su The guys who tuned my car played with the timing to make it lumpier (Without me asking lol) as the Evo 9 having the MIVEC means they aren't as aggressive as non MIVEC motors.
is this before you put in the kelford cams?
Yes it is :)
