I don’t really think it’s a “bad flying” thing. The banshee chief was In, in CE was shot to hell. The banshee arbiter was in crashed cause of the crazy winds going on from the station going into free fall, in halo 4 Chief really couldn’t do much since the didact was actively making his ship change shape in order to try and kill chief.

More of a thing with just crashing vehicles into stuff. There's also the Pelican crash in 2 right before Outskirts, Carter crashing into a Scrab in Reach, the "Tell me I don't have any more flying to do. Amen." part in ODST... I know there's some I'm missing, definitely remember one or two more crashes in Reach and there's almost certainly something in 3 too. But yeah. Lot more than just these.
