As a Metro Transit Technician, you use state-of-the-art tools and equipment to determine problems with equipment and make repairs. Metro Transit Technicians work indoors at one of Metro Transit’s garages in the metro area. All work at the garages upholds the highest-level requirements of industry safety.
At Metro Transit, we provide ongoing training and professional development to all our Technicians, and we offer a variety of opportunities to advance their careers.
As a Transit Technician you…

This was a very helpful video.
I agree with mark I just quit my paratransit mechanic job because I was making more money at my old job. If they supplied the tools than I would've stayed but I dont want to get in over 10k debt. I quit became a driver it's less stress on your body and pays way more.
What is the beginning and ending salary for technicians?
Typically 60k to 80K up to 100K

what they are not telling you is there mechanics are payed less than the unskilled bus drivers.d o a five year apprenticeship and spend tens of thousands on tools and make less than someone with a week's training.Take the driver job and leave the mechanics to the darkest and the new immigrants.google what the drivers are payed and Google what the mechanics are payed.you will thank me

try this city! For 3 year's was killing myself to get a fair shake given I was from..... a city that get blame for every thing gone wrong! Can't lie a lot ppl were I'm from mess it up... for those who came late trying hard and doing beyond! what some was doing in 5 year's standing around I did in 3 months.... and never felt welcome! yea I know it some nice still THERE! wish I experience what I brag on so hard and defend it to family! that in up looking like a fool defending
