Enjoy the sound of a dying breed of diesel locomotive, the SD40-2. Canadian Pacific #5790 was left running in the pits of Waterloo to stay warm so this gave me the opportunity to record her engine.

Hello, friends! I apologize for not being active here for over six months, but that'll change. I've been making plans to do more ASMR Trains since that's what you seem to like. But for now, enjoy the sounds of a steam locomotive during midnight where all you hear is her dynamo buzzing. Audio was taken by me on the Iowa Interstate #6988.

Happy New Year! Here's my first ASMR video where I unbox and run my brand new "Morning Daylight" passenger car set from Kato. I also unbox my Kato Southern Pacific GS-4 locomotive which will be the head end power for this train. Sit back, relax, and let your senses tingle.

This has long been one of my favorite sounds. That two stroke EMD 16-645E3 with the clutch driven turbo is, in my opinion, the most musical engine ever built anywhere.
This actually just makes me appreciate brass even more now... LOL!

These SD40-2s’ are the best things General Motors ever built. Pitiful shame GM sold off EMD and went 4stroke. Us rail fans better enjoy this ASMR while we can before these classics are gone!

So good i had to suscribe... i love model trains... i also have an ho scale (i think its ho). I had gotten it used, so i got new track connecters, but the loco doesnt run very well... so im hoping to get an ho scale old west 4-4-0 Edit: also you have a beautiful voice

As a child C&NW left one on a siding behind my house for a week idling, although it was a GP 30 there's no mistaking that EMD sound, love it.

That must've smelled amazing.
Back when I was a kid the Remanence of Conrail was still quite a lot, the siding in my town always had CR SD40-2’s sitting in that siding. It was so cool to be able to walk up to those locomotives and just look at them and see just how big they were.

Exactly! Get about three different loops going to cover multiple locomotives and a good subwoofer and you’d really have something.
