It's nice to walk along streets where I will never be. Like. Subscription.
Same here!
Is it true the townsman tried to kill the Jews who returned and those they didn’t manage to kill were banished?
Is it true there are under a dozen Jewish people living there today?
Nice one mate brought back some good an bad memories 😂
Love to see you walk through Tulse Hill
Love it
We moved there in 1955. What a change from then !
Home sweet home... That was an interesting video, thanks for sharing. The old man in the alleyway is very friendly and can talk the hind legs of a donkey. The pong in the Rec is probably Shepherd Neame Brewery's water purifier. You can walk all the way down Abbeyfields and will get to Iron Wharf - which is worth a visit. The ship wreck is a modern Pirate ship called Revenge. It ran aground in 2016 on the way to a party in Ibiza. It was set on fire in 2018. Cleve Hill solar farm is a bit of a sore point locally!
Thanks for the feedback and local knowledge …. Yes the traversing of the solar farm was somewhat depressing albeit it’s for a good purpose.
I love these videos, thank you. I last was in Herne Hill around 2002, I was a student at St Martin in the Fields high school, lived at Maskall Close in Tulse Hill and then moved to Penge East so took the train from here sometimes; it is incredible how lovely it looks when at that time I thought it was a ghetto lol. Times sure have changed!
Thanks for sharing!
21:54 It was lit in June 2024 for the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
41:14 - The transmitter is the Upper Norwood not the Crystal Palace
The transmitter you referred to is the Crystal Palace and the further one is the Croydon transmitter at Beulah Hill, Upper Norwood
Under the foot bridge (18.32) you can see a mark where the floods reached, I think in 1947.
I used to live Luton many moons ago but now reside in New Zealand I remember spending many many happy times in this park as a child. I miss my family and friends and the Luton Town Football Club and have been a supporter for over sixty years.
@@terryansell6641 LUFC have certainly had an interesting few years. It’s never dull there :)
Beautiful images of the bridge! Friendly greetings from Spain! Full enjoyed!
So boring and tedious.
3:24 Watch out for the 🥓🥓'ns of Bedfordshire 😮
Hahaha Dominican music for a visit to Spain
@@briana9918 sssshhhhh don’t tell everybody
@grandadontour1963 oh sugar 🤐
Nice to see a video from my home town but it looks like every other small town in Britain. I don't think I could ever see myself planning a day trip there. I have subscribed!
I love the ocean...the sound, the smell, the vast emptiness, the untamed power.
Ah you actually went fairly closed to where I used to live in Streatham! Awesome content - I really need to get myself into doing these station to station walks :D
Awesome idea. I've taken the train to Sutton a few times, having lived in Streatham previously for 15 years. Never thought about doing a walk like this - it sounds very fun. You just got another subscriber! Like this if you are reading this comment in 2124!
Nice walk as usual, but you need to cut out the music
My friend it’s a Nice Video but the River is Not Neckar the Right Name is Enz
I needed to go quick, it’s a long way from luton to London 😂😂😂
i slowed it down and thoroughly enjoyed it ,thanks for the upload mate
@samiblank6761 or there’s the entire 9!episides at normal speed but on those you’d have to listen me waffling on ….. then again you could turn the volume down 😂😂😂
Was you on coke the speed is dizzying
It's the graffiti that's really depressing.
@@DavidRichards-n1m yeah grim really, it’s hardly ‘art’ is it
Shouldn't it be Luton Beds Airport..!!!!! No where near London.....
@@richhaezaertable I think was it Cambridge or Coventry going to slip London into their title at one time? 😂😂😂 I suppose the only true London airport is Heathrow and that’s only just
Oh and city obviously forgot about them 😂😂😂
The correct pronunciation of the name of the city Olsztyn is Olʃtɪn.
@@Polans-gd what did I say? I can’t remember now , I’m sure it sounded terrible whatever it was ….. love Poland
Lovely Video. Thanks.😊

🌟👍👍👍 I don't understand how you work so hard to create such beautiful videos but don't want to do SEO, promote videos, optimize videos, even design thumbnails. So what is the difference between uploading the video and not doing it? You just upload the video and get bored, you don't want to do anything else. See the UA-cam algorithm is not that simple. See, everything has some rules, some tips and tricks, and some criteria, if not met, your channel will not improve. I can write it down. And the most difficult thing is that you don't want to take help from anyone, consider someone who wants to help you as a fraud. Why is that? please tell

This is great. Thank you
We went 30th August - 6th September, would go again
Amazing. You can walk so far and there are wide walkways, well paved and with trees and shade provided, and proper pedestrian crossings. Try to walk in Australia. The city is like a village size and then no walkways...
Dont even know how i watched the full hour of this
@@lolololol9780 warsaw is captivating ? 😂
Why did you even bother? I'm not surprised there were no comments before this one or that you only have 716 subscribers or that you've only had 3 likes. My advice is to go and do something you can be positive about.
Changed a bit since I lived there in the 70s
Awesome my hometown thanks 👍🏻

Bonjour cousin Bisous
To add to what @maureenduffy5101 commented on you were confidently striding "towards the centre of Gateshead" (previously unknown as Exeter St.) whilst actually walking away from it. Managing, somehow to evade all the interesting parts (there are some) of the place and having exited the new centre at Exeter St. you waltzed into the adjoining 'park' which was in fact a school. Next time you're up, head down to the quays and visit the places Maureen mentioned then pop on the 53 bus and visit Saltwell Park. You might, I only say might change your opinion of Gateshead.
Nice to see your lack of research into the history of Crawley. Crawley was designed after the war as a new town (along with other satellite towns of London) as a rehousing for the slums/homeless in London, and for them the town was a revelation. Time has taken it's toll, as has the proximity to Gatwick Airport which has been both a blessing (low and sometimes negative unemployment) and curse (immigrants having to be housed). In fact Crawley currently has four hotels full of immigrants and can carry out no business of their own. There are nice places to walk in Crawley the best being Tilgate Park and Tilgate Forest, and Goffs Park, but you'll need to do research first.
Your comment on the water levels reminded me that Maidenbower was built on a flood plain and after the first few heavy rains the water level lapped on peoples doorsteps. A major improvement in drainage was made (lots of digging up of roads for many months) with a much larger culvert to increase flows out of the area.
went there in june for couple of days. beautiful and underrated city. i could see myself living there
60 years or more of Luton councils covering up the clogged up river, you missed manor park as me and many kids paddled there -Jumpers for goal posts -them were the days😆
Excellent video, but if you had not gone through the Mall and continued along Johns Street, towards Power Court, you would have followed the river between the old Hat Works apartments. Once on Guildford St, you would see the river before it ducks under Power Court before flowing above ground again as it flows through Manor Park and along Windmill Rd to Gipsy Lane. Luton Town new Football ground on Power Court will open up a small section of the river hidden for many years.
Hello Grandad, enjoying your videos. Are you a Lutonian and living there? I'm an old ex Lutonian emigrated in 1973 to New Zealand and liking all the memories and places. Thank you.
@@visualstoryteller7777 no, I live near to luton and just took a day trip on easyjet , I’ve many more similar kinds of videos on my channel :) I hope to visit NZ in the next few years
I must say, an interesting video. It must have been recorded in the future, because it's already November there and still October here 😅. And the video resolution is not good. Whatever you film with, better use something else 😊
You are right!
