ok guys, I try this when I was 15 years old so, back in 1987 or so, my friend came over with a paper bag of leaves he picked from a house down the street. we put in on the stove top with some water and made a tea, I drank a 1/2 cup, you know the small Tupper-ware cups. it tasted pretty bad so i did not drink to much. my friend on the other hand drank way too much. it was the worst trip i ever had. imagine, i was watching my friends, one was climbing on belly going under cars, my other fiend was constantly saying my eyes are bleeding. my trip was seeing my sweater turn into micro goats walking around, i got tied of that and went to bed, the sheet where Charlie brown character and, they did not stop all night long walking back and forth and, not to mention the baby dols looking at me, turning their heads. The dry mouth was the worst. i also burnt my forehead with a cigarette, i had it backwards and touch my head. one friend wondered of back home and was taken to the hospital by his parents then the next day of to the Sheriff's department. luckily i drank very little i was tripping badly for around 16 hours. in short, i have in the past tad many many dust and LSD trips when i was a teen, i do not recommend this plant to any one at all it is no good. I grow up in Los Angele where a lot of the gang members when they couldn't get PCP they would use this plant. VERY BAD.

it can be a safe rewarding trip if done in the right way which is several microdose trips to get your system accustomed to the tropane alkaloids and then before your higher dose trip you set intention for what you want to experience in the trip then take it and that should be your experience (witches in middle ages Europe reported flights to the sabbat and festivals at night and dancing)...they would enjoy a whole scene and be lying on the floor of their room barely breathing like close to death...and then after some hours they regain consciousness and try to remember all the parts of their journey...it's an out of body experience that is aimed for...when people take datura without intention or ritual stuff goes haywire and she'll take you anywhere into anything...the skill in using it is microdosing several times then using ritual and will power or mantra and meditation to be alligned with what you want to experience in the trip...people have taken it and reported shape shifting into a crow and flying around...or other animals...there is the folklore of the werewolf in middle ages Europe and probably datura was involved...native Americans have folklore of shape shifting into bear or eagle or wolf and they also took hallucinogens...I think ketamine a much safer option for out of body travel

Datura is basically adapted to psychically neuter europeans and colonizers. Mexico is the immune system of the Americas, and while the drugs here are very different, they are all oriented towards causing phylogenetic problems for populations that try to profit off the land. The only people who truly know how to use these drugs are indigenous cultures who establish symbiosis with the chemicals (spirits). The moment humans try to act out a conqueror chemical script (which seems to be rather prevalent in the middleeast for some reason, a viral memeplex of monotheism, oil and turning regions into deserts) these drugs send out a sort of psychic hit squad, that acts on long, multigenerational timescale. There seems to be some competition between eschatological chemicals and homeostatic chemicals, as mckenna pointed out. mushrooms almost seem like free agents, but i can only speculate. they will give opposing instructions to different communities and individuals.

like most of the deserts in mexico were once forests like you'd see in the PNW, but the spanish cut them all down and now indigenous groups are replanting them. ive been to places in the souther sierras that you could not differentiate from oregon. my headcanon (which im sure is shared by many shamans here) is the biomes of the earth have some upper hand on human language, and know how this can be used to manipulate emotions and desire to recapitulate themselves. I think what we're seeing with the Western Empires in Canada, US, and Latin America, is a sort of "controlled burn" by these chemicals/spirits, that have infiltrated the colonizers memetically

Datura is not intended for Enlightenment like Soma / Natema / Ayahuasca. It wasn't even used by Shamans but only for Warriors. The objective is you don't fear anything but attack everything that appears with courage like a jaguar. It makes fearless warriors in battle like Kratos, It teaches indiginous boys to not have fear to kill or be killed by anyone or anything. "If you face Datura you are invincible" but even them never do it alone a male adult or two have to keep you grounded all the time or you can kill yourself running to kill the demons and fall off a cliff. "THE JIVARO: PEOPLE OF THE SACRED WATERFALLS" book explains better ;)

I had a brother that was 1 year older than me that decided to go to the U.S.M.C. He graduated 12 weeks of boot camp at M.C.R.D San Diego. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton afterwards. I believe that he had a lot free time on his hands when he got there. Also the restrictions and discipline after boot camp makes some new recruits wild and rebellious (Gungho). He told me that one day one of his buddies from boot camp was walking around the base at Camp Pendleton and he spotted a Datura type tree or shrub with the white trumpet shaped flowers. He told my brother that they could get high off of the seeds in the pods where the flowers had fallen off. They went and got a couple of Coca-Colas and cut one of the pods open and dumped the seeds into the coke and drank them. He said that he walked back to his barracks aftewards and started to see muti-dimensional shapes flying colors and strange objects around him and flowers poking up out of the ground and other weird hallucinations. He said that when he turned the dial on the combination lock the lines changed colors like the Wheel of Fortune show. He said that he sat down on his bunk and that people were talking to him and calling his name but he couldn't answer them. His sergeant called the Psych ward on base and they came and removed him from the barracks. Not long after that I had to visit him to take some cash to him. I think that he got fined or something for whatever he did when he was high from that plant. I remember a few weeks later he went AWOL and his behavior seemed a bit off and he wasn't the same. He got arrested for being AWOL and the Marine Corps kicked him out. I don't know if the Marines changed him or that Datura but I know that he didn't seem to be the same person anymore. He had an AA degree before BC and could have kept going to school but after that experience with that plant I think it changed him. He didn't go back to college or work much after coming home. He got on crack and got hit by a car and killed some years later. I don't think a person should risk their sanity on a whim. You might not make it back to reality. Honestly I felt like my brother had a death wish after all of that happened to him. He was not the same person I used to know.

I just want to say this, ask any doctor if what I say has any truth to it. Now, from what I have been told here by New York City Doctors, that the outcome that comes from doing these drugs depends on how strong the person's mind is who's doing it. You see everyone's tolerance is way different in a lot of aspects, so what person a experiences, person b doesn't experience at all. If you truly don't understand what I am saying to you, then have a professional explain it to you, because you need to have the aspect of this fully explained to you. Sincerely, Marilyn

I did this in ‘94 when I was 13. The local news ran a story on it giving so many people the idea to try it. They were outside my window too, reaching in, and I was on the second floor. A cat was hooked to an electric cord on my pillow, I was covered in bugs, and so much more. Ma dukes realized something was up and took me to the hospital where I got to ride it out.
