@@TalesofLost well i don't know how you think but in my thoughts when someone gain the power to know how to do something they will try it if it good in simple way if someone know how to get treasure why would they not get it in the same context i am thinking since they have the knowledge of kings why wouldn't they form their own kingdom or use that knowledge although i have idea that counter my this idea i wont say it here maybe on discord

It was combination of lots of different cultural items from middle age knights to hijras. You can see what was the approach more clearly if you watch the last video i just uploaded 🙃

Lands meaning it could be a huge continent and these places can be so far from each other. Even these stories could happen in different times too. Actually villagers never wanted to girls got sacrificed but group of people with the crazy old man forced them to do such a thing. Cursed thing was the seed they burried with the girls. Cursed with sorrow of 12 girls. But later on spirit of the girls forgave them because their sacrifice wouldn’t go in vain. Water give the curse to the villagers but the essence (as a gift from the girls) saved them. Except the old man. On the respect side after this event all of them become one for the one purpose so there is no discrimination or hierarchy between them anymore. Hope this clears more the questions!

@@TalesofLost I am not saying there has to be discrimination and hierarchy the word monk already eliminates it what i was saying is that after that incident the villagers would give girls more respect and authority not in the form of a position or anything. just in their mind subconsciously they think that it because of those 12 girls they live so they give attention and importance to girls more in the village. you see the thing that people believe in determines what the hold important. for example= a tribe that believe in a male god would held male important as they can hunt and all more then female but a tribe believing in a female god holds female important as they think she is the mother important in giving birth and caring for you. i am just saying this because sometimes these type of things can make a significant change and enrich the lore well your idea is good and i appreciate if you continue i can say so because i too am currently world building and am stuke on this religion and differentiation part.😮‍💨🙄

Just the spirits became important but not living girls. It’s not a religion for them just a new purpose and something to rely on because if they don’t they basically dies because of the branches. So no gods no religion no differences between age and gender.

I was just thinking from the villagers view. what would their view of girls be after that?? I apologise if I don't even understand your idea then am telling ya something unrelated.
