hmm...we gotta see more knee-high styling videos! weather's gettin chilly, long trousers are coming out, like I'm curious how even an otk style would look! Like I know for me, my audrick 22i would look so sick w black skinny jeans (heck even fishnets too if it'll give some variety), and a black band tee. Or maybe a black crop top and a crop top leather jacket. And some spikey edgy accessories to go along w it, and a Dr marten bag!

Omg i have the same exact problem with my calves! It's sooo annoying. Plus size/extended calf boots are too big yet regular boots are often just a smidge too small. Fortunately ive been able to stretch one or two pairs to be able to fit me but not sure it would work with yours being that they are lace ups.

@3:07 same. i find it amazing that i can turn heads with my audrick 22 eyelet boots! those ones will always be my faves! unless doc martens can come out with another longer thigh high style :P

I keep buying docs bc I've never found a good dupe that compares especially the ones that are sold the same price or cheaper. Plus just iconic styles and great sales when you can find them.

He's cut a few docs before. Some of the docs do surprisingly have a slightly better construction; and I own a few pairs that I can comment upon too. The basic 1460 vegan docs for example has a felted mid-sole which may last longer than the foam mid-sole (at the expense of being slightly more firmer), and anything with full-grain leather (crazy horse, ex) is a better bet. It really depends on the model of shoe you get. Almost with good certainty, any of the "collab" boots and shoes will almost always last less than 2 years of 8x5 (8 hours a day, 5 days a week) wear than the standard or more purpose-built models. Really goes to show that not all docs are equal and when the exception of the MIEs, some will last longer than the 1460 Smooth Leather docs.

Yeah, you really did make a good point about how one of the other is not better than another. I especially see that with minimalism. And yes, people should be aware of their spending and consumer habits - but as you said, if you're actually wearing them; using them, and they bring lots of joy and purpose to your life - it's okay to have them. Nothing wrong with it. Great video!

Out of those I have the white vegan monos and they have become my most worn pair this summer . The plain black Jadons are amazing and I also wear lots of. The velvet max I think I’ve worn once and kind of forgotten about ! Maybe will change come Halloween (but my bright orange 1460s will be out then too!) . I have the vegan cherry red ones and love them but they only been worn twice so far . Also have the Betty boop collab which are amazing and one of my faves .

I never really gravitated towards the zippered docs. I'm wondering how hard it is to actually get the nonzipper jadons on and off. Also sidenote last night was the first time I had a giant doc dream Lolo you know your obsessed once you start have complex dreams about em😂

Yesterday I bought them, they told me they are hard and it will softens. Was my first pair of Dr Martens and the last. They are very hard and uncomfortable.

I found a vintage made in england 8053s and they are def worth it and its in my rotation my other 2 favs are more for comfortability which are the bex chelseas and my 101s. what size do you usually get in their sandals??? I’m like a 10 in their boots and i usually have to size down for any sandals, so i bought a 9, but i think they’re still too big. I’m scared to go down to an 8 because i don’t want them to be too tight and they don’t do half sizes. do you size down at all compared to your boot size in their shoes?
