RV stove - convert to electronic spark
Converting the stove top in our Winnebago Vita to electric ignitor. I think the old manual ignitor its annoyingly loud! I feel like I'm waking up the whole campground when I use it. Its an inexpensive and easy install. Be sure to get one with 3 outlets if you have a stove like ours.

How to manually retract step on Winnebago Vita

A couple people have had a problem where their step wouldn't retract after its extended. While we haven't had a problem with ours, I wanted to see how I would manually move this step in, if we ever needed to. As a temporary fix, one could remove two bolts and manually retract the step. At that point it would need to be tied up, but at least it could be driven. Then fix the problem after getting...

Just a quick overview on installing a JVC 10.1" screen radio in a Winnebago with a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter chassis. The original radio that came with it sucked. This is a huge improvement. Radio features include Apple CarPlay, HD screen resolution, HD radio.

Burro Creek Bridge and Campground

Burro Creek Campground is a small campground off highway US-93, half way between Wickenburg and Kingman Arizona. It's just south of the little town of Wikiup, AZ. There are 23 sites in the campground, all without hookups. My Datsun L320

Video is from a short photo shoot I did with our 65 Datsun pickup. We've owned this Datsun for over 25 years. Still a hoot to drive. Has less than 50K miles and still wears the original paint. Paint color is called "Bamboo Tan". It's part of the family! (Video is better with sound on! )
I like many others was surprised it doesn’t use a filter. I imaging you would have to change the oil more frequently. Good video
I forgot aluminum washer the first time I did this and had a leak. I had to replace like 1 qt of oil when I pulled the plug to reinsert the washer.

Did your manual specifically call for straight 30 weight? Mine says 10w30. Just curious. Thanks for the video!
Yes, my manual gives several options. See picture of oil recommendation from my manual at about 1:20 in the video. For 100f and above it says straight 30 can be used. I live in Arizona and its hot here. I would also consider 15w-40 for my temps in AZ. Thanks for watching. :)

This. Blew. My. Mind. Wow. How could Winnebago do this and not make any sort of broad effort to notify owners? Is the Vita/Porto community considered too small?? We've had our Porto for 2 years...and the LP generator vent was getting sucked CLOSED the whole time. Thank goodness we only have 22 hours on it, and have only used it in hot weather for a few of those hours. So...was time to do the first hours-based oil change (sorry, didn't follow the one-year timing, since it had only been used about 12 hours at that point, lol) and came here to get educated from the other excellent oil change vid -- then poked around this channel and proceeded to be amazed by this 4-minute treasure of a video. Anyway, we have been super happy with our Winnebago rig, and this doesn't change that overall, but it does give me pause. Sure, we Porto/Vitas are a small segment of the Winnebago family, but that seems like it would make it EASIER for Winn to reach out to all of us, rather than make Winn decide to just let this mistake stay under wraps. Thanks again to Old2925 for the fix. (PS, we also had to rebuild our baffle system. Discovered one original had indeed fallen off. Didn't have any plane-grade product to use for a replacement, so...I took the mistake-of-a-vent- cover, reinforced it with some wooden structure, covered it in high grade black Gorilla tape, and now that's our new baffle. Turned that lemon into a little bit of lemonade.) Thanks again for this video Dale, and the excellent work running Winnebago down to get them to cop to the original mistake. You are truly one-of-a-kind.

The manual says to replace the spark plug at 450 hrs, but change sooner if engine performance deteriorates.

According to the manual, the drain plug torque is 27Nm (21 ft-lbs).

Getting ready to work on mine, I have the Sportside just curious how was it finding parts and was it worth the time?
Love the NL320 (sport). I restored mine 25+ years ago and part were pretty difficult. Now there are more people restoring them and resources are a little better. Some items are tough to get... glass, taillights (especially for NL320). I think its worth the time.
