I know im late but i just watched this episode and oh god the rage im feeling towards Rory i cant even describe and she’s crying? And playing victim like gods!! When she kissed jess behind Deans back and when her mother tells her shes wrong she get angry at her mom then her mom has to say sorry to her like what?? I just Cant STAND her anymore!

1:39 The way she looks around to see if people are listening to the conversation speaks volumes about her character. She's more concerned about other people hearing and seeing her innocent act fall apart than the way she made Dean feel all this time. Rory loved playing the victim in every situation, even when she was the bad guy all along. She didn't care about Dean. How can someone treat their boyfriend like that? And Jess is such a jerk, he has zero respect for other people's commitments. And Rory actually gets surprised when Jess isn't a good boyfriend to her. Like what did you expect from a boy who lacks commitment and respect?

She deserved every bit of that.

Couldn't expect anything else from Rory. She was still too young, sorting up her feelings and maturing. Plus, what of an example did she had? Lorelai's. Lorelai was a disaster in her relationships and she had that "I'm my daughter's best friend" thing that, really, pissed me, 'cause she would almost get permission from Rory to going out with someone, and she envolved her too-young-daughter on subjects that definitely was only hers, the adult one.

I mean she has feelings for Jess anyways, so what is she supposed to do? She cannot control how she feels. And her trying to stay with Dean despite having feelings for Jess is in my opinion the best thing she could do. Dean had the time to make efforts, accept and give up instead of being confronted with "Hey sorry I have feelings for another guy, I don't want to string you along, let's break up". I don't know what everyone is arguing about, this is a good event that benefits everyone involved

if i had someone like dean, and was in love with someone else i would tell him right away. right away. rory pissed me off so much, it was so upsetting. you don’t get to treat good people like that and be happy. i understand she didn’t want to leave him but it was unfair and she was only staying with him for her own selfish reasons .

she's 16 of course she doesn't know about relationships and so on and of course she makes bad decisions and it's not like she had a very good example
