The problem with this car is it is too heavy and too expensive because the weight and cost put it in Lucid Air Grand Touring territory and that car has over 800 hp and leases for $949 a month. Mercedes is screwing themselves over with these plug-in hybrid AMG’s like the C63 at $100k for a 4-cylinder, 4900 lb car. At that point a Model S plaid is cheaper, lighter, faster. If these AMG’s had V8’s they would weight less with better handling for one and two, they would at least have character and fun factor, even if they can’t match straight line speed of EV’s.

Or you can use your iPad on a bigger screen and faster.

Just got mine I love it although its not the 53 its the GLE 450 375HP is enough for me can't go wrong either way only difference I save myself over 7,000 for more torque and hp

I agree with your comment on the 4-cylinder engine. I have the 2022 GLE 450 with the 6-cylinder. It's a big mistake that Benz adopted the 4 banger with this large heavy SUV. It just doesn't work as the engine is loud and annoying to get the performance you need in everyday driving. I would buy the GLE with 6-cylinder diesel and avoid the 4 banger as a second choice.

You can always get rid of it 3 months earlier if you continue leasing with Mercedes Benz. I'm sure anyone can go more agressive on making deals with dealers, even though my deal is not ideal.

Price is very good. I am in SE Asia and G63 AMG costs $389,000 here! Double of US due to import duty. And sold out in less than 1 hour. Americans are poor. Come to Asia or Middle East and see the luxury cars here. My office building parking lot has Cullinans, G63, Urus, Mansory G800, DBX707 and all others parked in 120 F sun lol.

On a lease never never put any money down and take all the fees and taxes and put it in the payment because of the extreme depreciation, just driving the car off the lot if that car gets total stolen, especially in the beginning the first couple of months you are out your down payment you are out all the taxes and fees. The only thing I would get is gap insurance if you need to put money down and pay the taxes and fees upfront to afford the car, this is not the right car for you now financing completely different story when you put money down on a car leasing that is going straight into the pocket of the dealership

The 63 was above my budget. I drove the 43 and 400e and went for the 400e: much more comfortable, fast enough for a daily and probably a lot more reliable in the longer run. I get mine in februari 2025 in Alpine Grey.
