I created this channel to share my autographed book collection, and the hunting adventures associated with growing the collection. Books/autographs are athletes, celebrities, musicians, politicians, pop culture, etc..... very few fiction authors.
99% of my collection was found in thrift stores, estate sales, yard sales, etc. Have paid $5 or less for all of my books except 1. At the inception of this channel, my collection consisted of 124 signed books.

The Roy Firestone was among my first 10-20 signed books.
I have a Joan Crawford signed letter and it’s also just signed Joan.
Ball Four is a great one and one of the few in my collection I have read. Mine is actually the updated Ball Five.
Same with me, I have 3600 signed books and read less than 20 of them. The search for signed books is the fun part.
Out of curiosity, why does this video run for 8 minutes and 33 seconds if it's just a small short clip. The last 7 minutes and change is a black screen.
😂 you weren't almost hit by a golf cart LOL that was a shopping cart pretty darn sure.
This video was roughly 3 months ago and I can tell by the book shelving that you have not reached the end of the videos you plan to present. You probably got held up by the holidays or something else. Just wondering when any more are going to drop.
I was looking at reviews for young adult books and somehow stumbled across your channel. I forgot to mention that earlier when I commented on the previous collection videos. Anyway, you said near the middle of this video that a special insert page, called a 'tipped-in' page, doesn't authenticate the autograph in the book per se. I would suggest it does because it actually came from the publisher like that signed when they constructed that print run edition. If you're talking about the Kendrick one specifically, the publisher & the Target store chain probably had some kind of deal since that sticker on the cover mentioned a special Target Edition. Another fun video!
Hubby can't update the UA-cam on his phone that he has currently so I'll be showing him your videos.😊 and it looks like you do have a Patricia Heaton one, but not the cookbook. I didn't even realize it was sitting right behind you on the shelf when I mentioned it in the previous video.
You mentioned you'd like to have the whole cast of Everybody Loves Raymond signed. That made me think of the fact that the only one of that cast that hubby has is Patricia Heaton on her cookbook. I'm pretty darn sure he doesn't have any of the others.
The Joan Crawford one you showed was actually really neat. Something sort of along those lines... I was kind of blown away when my husband showed me something that he'd found at a store called Half Price Books out here in the Midwest signed by the (more elderly at the time of signing) sister of missing aviator Amelia Earhart. Talk about a piece of history right there, right? If I remember right, of hubby's prizes, as you call it, is one I think he found a couple years back but it's an oversized coffee table type book which was sold at their show in Vegas but it's signed by Siegfried and Roy. It's at least in his top 10 of stuff he's found.
Regarding the Kenneth Cole find one, it's actually better sometimes when they go through the title, that way you can verify that it's a hand done signature. It's just another tidbit for the verification process, along with there being a dedication to someone specific. These things are just different points along the way toward verifying something for sure. I know you have a hankering for clipping stuff out of a book occasionally but that does kind of ruin things in a way. Hubby has told me about a number of times his finding something at Goodwill or elsewhere but the front end paper or upper 1/3 of a whole page where he could tell an autograph for sure was will be sliced out. It's frustrating to think you found something really awesome the autograph is missing, especially on something where the jacket says signed copy. That's like a publishers production copy one where they give however big a stack of pages to the celebrity or author to sign and then the publisher builds the book with those pages.
Pretty neat that the Gary Carter one is dedicated, inscribed and signed.
Regarding the Bertinelli one, the card inside about the book signing would be an example of a type of provenance (another good term) which-- yes--can help authenticate it.
The books that you were saying have pre-printed autographs, yes that's technically what they are since it's during the publication process of all copies of that book itself, but in case you didn't know, the actual term is facsimile signature. My husband has collected autographs since the mid-90s when he was a teenager.
