I think with just Beta cards, honestly anything that plays Kira Yamato + Aile Strike Gundam is very good. On the blue side, Amuro Ray with his Gundams is very good, and any cards that provide healing for Aile Strike Gundam are a nice bonus.

Most Bandai games share some similarities between each other at this point. Feel like Gundam has a healthy mix of mechanics from Digimon, OP and the games those are based on (mostly Duel Masters)

I wouldn't know to be honest, as these decks were taken from the official website. I'd assume that School might not be part of the fixed card pool in the Beta box?

Any of the current deckbuilding sites should work, we got ours from Egman Events. The official site also has the images by now, you could get them from there too.

Red is confirmed to be part of set 1. I expect 5 or 6 colors total after the first couple of sets, similar to most of their other card games.

Most of their games share some underlying design philosophies, but they always try to bring in some new concepts - like the pilot/unit combinations for this one

The decklists can be found in the description!

Units can not attack on the turn they are played. They can only do so if you make them a Link Unit, by pairing the appropriate Pilot with them.

Both were custom made. The dice are just square wooden blocks Leijin painted, the card holders are detachable wood holders for our table made by her dad

Always helps if you provide a time frame

Units set active by Archangel can't attack for the rest of the turn

There'll be more complexity once we get a bigger card pool. More viable cards with Action timing especially will add a lot to the game

​@@Yusei255 if anything that might be a strength of the TCG which might get more people to play. I feel like that's why more people seem to play Pokemon TCG because it's simple enough for a beginner to pick up but can get complex too when left to its own devices.

I'm fine with it as long as it's well implemented.

It baffles me that they didn't allow destroyed shields to automatically go to hand. Instead, they made the burst keyword.

@@colstratos6320 i mean, that's how most games with Shield Mechanics work, Duel Masters, Digimon, you name it. I think the only games that allow you to bring your shields to your hand are Dragon Ball Super and One Piece, but i could be wrong

Hey, i'm fine with it, not everything needs to be innovated, if it's well implemented and it works, then use it, no need to reinvent the wheel every single time. Anyway, the way i see it, they basically combined the Ressource system of their two last Gundam Games into one (The Level Requirement and Cost Requirement being based of the Total National Power and Designated National Cost of the Original Gundam War card game and the Ressource deck being based on the Character Deck of the Gundam Cross War Game that was released a few years ago) And they made it work, so personnally, i don't care if it's archaic, as long as it works

You get one per turn but one player starts with an ex resource.

Colors seem to follow certain mechanics, e.g. Breach is only found in Green as of now. Other than that, your deck can have cards from a maximum of 2 colors, so they exist to restrict deck building.
