Приєднався 26 вер 2010
Hobbyist photographer in the north east of England, with a passion for close up and macro photography. I mostly photograph flowers, fungi, insects and still life these days, often from home as I have limited energy as a result of having M.E. I specialised in exotic animal photography for a lot of years then branched out into other areas. Lately I find myself doing a lot of focus stacked macro photography and floral work.
I am very lucky to have won a few awards and competitions over the years, including Camera jabber photographer of the year 2023, EISA 2023 Animal kingdom portfolio UK winner & international 2nd place, SWPP Plant and fungi photographer of the year 2020, WPE 1st place in flower photography 2022 and Amateur photographer magazines Close up round winner in 2020. IGPOTY Still life category winner 2021 & 22, 3rd place 2023. NPS POTY for 3 years.

Editing submerged flowers
Переглядів 285Місяць тому
A simple edit of one of my submerged flower photos, using camera rawm photoshop and TK luminosity masks. This image turned out rather dull and drab due to using pastel colours in the milky water. A little easy editing brought it to life. Not all mt submerged photos require editing, some look great straight out of camera and this can be helped by choices in flowers, colours, lighting and camera ...

Any particular kind of milk you prefer to use? whole? Skim etc? love the video
@@1027Paula I prefer whole cows milk
What are you using for the streaks? Milk? paint? ink? and do you mix it with anything?
I use many different liquids, all that you mentioned and more :) I have a tutorial if you are interested.
The effects are incredibly beautiful thank you very much Angi for your tips
Glad you enjoyed it
❤Brilliant I love it. I bet that little guy went back to his crew and told them about the great adventure he had. And then said to them 'hey none of you helped me but a nice human did'
Ha ha . They have more than doubled in size now. I think they are a good size to safely release back into our tree once the wind dies down.
Aren't they gorgeous little ones?! I was twisting myself into all different shapes, just willing that first one back over to the right way up! Great video Angi 100% 😊👏
I think they have pretty colours and are super cute. Unfortunately this video was only at 2.8. If I feel well enough later this week I will try to take another in better light.
@@AngiWallaceCreativePhotography I agree with the 'super cute', they are adorable. For me, the video was totally fine at 2.8 and that aperture actually helped with the overall story. But the quest for more DOF is always calling us lol. Listen to your body and let it guide you, Angi. Do things only as & when you are ready to, eh?! 😊👍
Macro mastication.
great video Angi great use of TK9
Thank you
Loving the effects Angi, yep Bonkers 😂😂
Ha ha, it’s all good fun 😆
Thanks for sharing Angi, the TK9 looks interesting, but don't think I would know where to start with that.
It’s really easy, and a dame change in editing , I can send you a link to videos to help
I was wondering where the idea of this being 'Bonkers' came in ....... now I realises it is about the 2:25 mark. 😂
Its all good fun
Oh to have skill and imagination.....
I just love your amazing artwork
thank you. Wait until you see whats next :) Posting in a few minutes - It made me laugh
I just love your artwork. I'm curious what lense are you using
Thank you . I use various different set ups. Sometimes and OM1 plus Zuiko 90 mm macro lens. Sometimes Sony A7iii plus either Sony 90mm lens , or Sigma 180 macro lens. Often I take photos with the Olympus and video with Sony gear.
How utterly beautiful to see this ‘in action’ attended your Camversation talk tonight- I was entranced, and dying to have a go with this idea ASAP! Thank you Angi for sharing your stunning work.
Thank you very much for supporting my presentation, Im extremely grateful that so many attended. I only glanced at the number once and think it was about 120, I was blown away by everyones kind responses. Hope you found it helpful. I do have a more in depth tutorial availble on Etsy, which goes into more detail, giving lots of tips to save you time. www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1701367211/submerged-underwater-flower-photography?click_key=42c7b750c57ce0f462d384712a72590899efd4b7%3A1701367211&click_sum=50280aab&ref=shop_home_active_1&bes=1&sts=1
Fantastic 🤩 Can't wait for the talk tomight.
Thank you. I’m slightly nervous now lol. Time for a ten minute meditation I think 😁
@@AngiWallaceCreativePhotography Your last talk was brilliant, no sign of nerves, you will be fab tonight 😊
This is brilliant, just watching your work flow is very interesting. Thankyou for sharing this wonderful process
glad you enjoyed it, it was a fun one to create
Does the flash work even when the darker colours are added? I would assume that the glass and the added black dye would just create a mirror effect when the flash is fired 🤔
I use flash 95% of the time with no issues at all , it actually helps reduce a lot of reflections . I use a grid to keep my light very directional and help prevent stray light.
Very nice. Do you have the stills up somewhere?
Thanks very much. Not yet, but I will be posting one daily on my facebook page and will add them to my website soon. Www.AngiWallacephotography.com
Ive updated my website with a few of them angiwallacephotography.com/transience
Bonjour. Je voudrai acheter le tutoriel sur eatsy mais avant cela, j’aimerai savoir si vous abordez également les lumières . Lumière continue (quel modèle ?), flash? Comment les positionner ? Merci
I cover lighting only briefly, mentioning natural light, how I use and position my own studio flashes and LED lighting, as well as discussing reflections.
Stunning ❤
Thanks , it was pretty special to watch
THANKS FOR SHARING
Excellent work ❤
thanks
great video Angi, nice to see the workflow development - is that acrylic ink that you use?
Thanks Alasdair ☺
What a beautiful effect. Nice work!
Thanks very much
Another great video Angi
Thanks Doreen
One of our prettiest birds, and quite low in numbers now I believe. You lucky thing, you!!
I couldn’t believe it , so lucky it didn’t appear to hurt itself - as it flew right into our window , which is why it sat stunned for 3-4 minutes. Quite a treat to see
@@AngiWallaceCreativePhotography 😊😊
Beautiful images Angi
Thank you, very kind of you 🙂 I love your floral images too
You’re very welcome

I've officially dispatched the Stormtroopers to hunt down the person singing out of tune next to the camera.
Thanks for sharing Angi, it was an amazing gig. No stilt walkers or contortionists this time, just an awesome psychedelic backdrop to some fantastic Hawkwind music. God, I love this band!
thanks..took me right back...i'd of been stood about ten feet from you....
Fantastic gig, and some great photos, way better than the ones I got!
+pgod1960 It was difficult to get decent photographs due to the lighting. They use projections mainly and limited lights, so most of my images turned out poor. I had my ISO right up. Have you got yours online?
Hi Angi, I've just posted my footage and 'snaps' on my channel, Sadly they're all the product of the evil iPhone and not a decent camera! Not even in the same league as yours, low light or not. Clearly you know your stuff! Yours show off the brilliant interplay between Dave Brock and the wonderful bass dervish that is Haz Wheaton perfectly. You caught some really great moments and some lovely shots of DB. It was a brilliant night, although I did miss Tim Blake's aural confetti (if there is such a thing!), but made up for in so many other ways. I've never got that close since the Windsor Free Festival when i was 12! All the best Peter
Hey, fab videos there. I was lucky, Hawkwinds manager gave me a photo pass :), but being unable to move around hampered my creativity and opportunities at better shots due to the venue - most venues have a "pit" for photographers where you can run round getting better angles. Plus professional photographers only have permission for the first 3 songs. Its sooooo hard standing there with a camera seeing magical moments but knowing you will get chucked out if you photograph them :) Ive been at the front at one of their gigs in Middlesbrough and the Rock n blues custom bike show in Derbyshire a couple of times. Was great sound a the Sage.
Great photos Angi, thanks for sharing (from the tall bloke who was standing immediately to your right). It was a fantastic gig.
+Mark Eaton Thanks Mark, yep its was a fab gig.
