I wish today’s NBA did this for it’s 75th Anniversary. All of sudden my NBA At 50 DVD 📀 and book 📖 set became more valuable and enjoyable. Of course that was when the NBA was a man’s league and more physical then it is today.

It wasn't the cosmos that brought them together, it was the illuminati/freemason group they were both part of...it was obvious with the numbers on there jerseys, 32 & 33.... When people understand the group running the world you know the symbolisms and numbers they use so the people involved will know that those people are part of the club. This is obvious in every sport, movie etc....

The rivalry of bird and magic back then was too exciting. Each superstar player is gonna play his best ball to defeat the other no matter what it takes. They always have in them the principle in winning by any means necessary, the main difference in todays league where a superstars motto is if you cant beat them, join them! Sad but true. Nothing against the league but IMO, the league was more thrilling back then. If i could remember every teams star player would stick to the team until they age no matter if they gonna win ships or not, they got pride not taking the easy way out.

The fact that these guys were even the least bit cool with each other is crazy. In the 80s, every team hated every other team with a passion. Unlike the ladies that play today.

i was so glad to grow up and watch them both and the 80s of basketball, Being in the Detroit area and the Rivalry we developed against both of them, plus what they developed against each other,, youll never see that kind of game anymore, todays is a way watered down self centered version of basketball and is weak !! IMO

I love Isiah but his comments were uncalled for. Guess he learned who Larry Bird was in game 5 of the 87 eastern conference finals. One should never echo anything Rodman says. Rodman couldn't hold Bird's jock strap and he knows it. If a player is great then who cares what color his skin is. Stats don't lie and results don't either. Larry Bird is one of the greatest players of all time, black or white. It goes without saying that Magic is also one of the greatest players of all time. Neither one wants to talk about who was better but Larry points to Magic because Magic has more championships. The friendship between Magic and Bird still seems like a storybook ending but It is how it should be. They are both winners and alike in as many ways as they are different and they are still my two favorite players and people.

A fledgling sport struggling to find its popularity before the 80s ball they dominated. Understand the development concerning player safety but these years were the true years of the NBA. The media needs to cover move of this era for the younger fans to understand where this sport came from. Soon it will become old timey jazz records compared to modern pop-anything (the speed in which this sport progressed); current NBA is only here because of this era. And, for anyone else - Jordan took a growing plant and made it flourish. Bird and Magic were already doing the sport's work.
