When I lose power on my heavily over stocked pond I put the hose pipe on and leave it running full pelt into the pond from a reasonable height seems to aerate sufficiently

I went though the same thing back in May. I knew I needed to have a battery backup aerator for my pond but I procrastinated on ordering it. A spring storm knocked out my power for about 8 hours and I lost most of my fish. I have one now that kicks onto battery backup power as soon as the power goes out. Worst part is like I said I knew better.

Hope this will never happen again but if it does the quickest way to get new oxygen in the water is by adding hydrogen peroxide. it can be life saving.

This is why we bought a Generac generator, sort of a major expense but has helped ease our mind with travelling. I'm so sorry for your loss.

So sorry for you. I can sympathize with you, must be heartbreaking. Unfortunately it happens all too often. Overstocking is ok if everything is working, but when a failure occurs can be catastrophic. It's a learning curve, take it on board and move on. 👍

Totally devastated for you and you had brought them on so far and well. Absolutely gutting to watch and can only begin to imagine how stressful it has been for you. Heat goes out to you and your little one, as I'm sure it's a hard one to try and explain. On the other side I'd be looking to see if condensation managed to get into where your electrics are? Seems like a possible cause,not that it makes it any easier,bit knowing what happened can help us understand what went wrong. Hope you figure it out for nothing more than peace of mind.🙏

Did you ever consider salt paste ? Then it’s not necessary to scrape. Cure the infected area’ and finish off with propolis and sealant. It has worked every time for me. Just something else to try out with proven results✌️

Nice results considering the food you choose. Prefer the results I'm getting using saki growth,but I understand each to their own and it's not the easiest to get hold of over here. Shiro,s looking great, real stand outs, be interesting to hear what temps you are running them at? Pushed mine up to 26.5 and it's made a difference with how well they are growing. Be good to see a follow up on the kohaku to see it fairs🤞great update and hope your all keeping well.
