concerning Graham vs. MLK, the 2 ideologies differ. Graham preached a message of salvation thru Christ. MLK preached a unity of race: Mankind can do it. Graham held a once saved always saved which God does everything. MLK held Mankind alone can bring harmony. Therefore both differed with strengths and weaknesses. MLK view of non-violence is closer to Biblical thought than Malcom X's view. Note that in Amos and Joel, the gentiles are selling Israelites into slavery. Amos' geographies are idolatrous hot spots. Amos 9 is quoted in Acts 15's Jerusalem's confrence.

Reason #3 The church is anti-science. I know people immediately think about creation vs evolution. But I think of the "church" stance against the usage of stem cells to advance science and medicine.
