Little bits of this and that :)
The Magical Water Pavilion ( Alton Towers ) - ( 1988 )
In the 80s and 90s my dad liked to film absolutely everything on what I remember was a Philips vkr 6820 (VHS) - (he was the original family vlogger lol.)
Among the many places we liked to visit in the 80s and 90s were theme parks like Alton Towers, Flamingo Land, Lightwater Valley etc.. and as I am in the process of digitising these old VHS tapes, I thought I would be interesting to post footage featuring old rides at these Theme Parks that no longer exist but people like myself have very fond memories of.
For my second video looking back at old Theme Park footage I thought I would post "The Magical Water Pavilion" at Alton Towers in 1988.As far as I know this is rare footage because there are no other videos of it online that I could find.
There are some small jumps at the beginning that I had to edit because my Dad reached the end of his tape at 25 seconds into the show and had to put in a fresh one (in the dark haha), but this is pretty much the whole show.
This is a really cool show that I would probably still enjoy if I was to see it today and its one I always remember really well. I don't know much about where this was located at Alton Towers or when it closed but one little thing I do know (thanks to You Tube's checks) is that some or perhaps all of the music was composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber.
