Fishing streamers means lots of casting so with that in mind, I wanted to have a streamer that I would be able to throw all day and be able to have tied in a multitude of colors for a reasonable price. Thus, the El Toro Loco was born. I hope y'all enjoy it! *DISCLAMER* I realize that in the video there is n...

Fly Tying Tutorial: Tying the Avalon Permit Fly

This past week, a few customers with saltwater trips have asked about tying saltwater flies, specifically the Avalon. The Avalon Permit fly has quickly risen to being the top fly for Permit fishing in Cuba. The fly was originally created by Mauro Ginervi, and worked tirelessly on creating a fly that would swim true and would not turn when stripped. In addition to the larger than normal appearan...
Fly Tying Tips & Tricks: The Whip Finish
Переглядів 2632 роки тому
The whip finish. The most important piece in fly tying. Without this knot, flies would unravel and the time you spent tying your materials on would be wasted. Because flies are typically tied with one continuous strand, the whip finish is the final piece of the puzzle. In this short video, we’ll go over the technique on how to finish your own flies. Nice job, Angus! Looks great and thanks for emphasizing the importance of the pectoral fins. Tough to tie but makes all the difference in the water! -- Michael Bennett
Super tie fly and commentary thanks
Content! Keep it coming 👍🏻🌮💨
Great video. Easy to follow steps and this fly crushes it.
Hola Eh!!!
Interesting patern. From the opening picture i thought the head was from mop fly material. Does that amout of foam make this pattern float or be neutral?
This was great and thank you- it's that time of year !
Cool looking fly
when my old hands hender me on these some times with my different sizes drinking straw's I cut appropriately the size I need and cut through side making a C clamp to hold rubber legs back out of my way while finishing fly papa wishing you well
Excellent vids, just discovered your channel, big thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
Thanks 👍
Excellent! Well done.👍🏻
Good wholesome content right here.
This guy hasnt used a WF Tool much.....
Good job Angus, tying some of those up here in eastern Canada. Thanks so much for sharing all.
That's a nice looking fly
I have this, and have been using it like crazy, usually in conjunction with a longer tool that prevents the loop from casually spinning when I let go ove it. Its my opinion that the little hook deal needs to be longer. Or they need a version that is longer.
Now I need that tool...
Great looking bug.
Nice one!
Black background, black material, very very hard to see what going on
Thanks, will have to tie a few of these up
This is quality content gang
