Ruben I got a question for you. When you are wrapping your chenile....do you reverse the last wrap and if so why? I understand why you tie off your chenile just short on your main wrap, but I am trying to learn why you reverse the last wrap if indeed that's what you are doing. I assume it makes the strength of the chenile stronger and prevents the chenile from coming apart after heavy usage. I have never seen anybody reverse wrap the final wrap. This is not criticism but you are so fast my eyes can't keep up with some of your techniques. You are that good and efficient. I got curious the other night when you were talking about how many jigs you tie a year. I looked back at my log books and the most I have ever tied in one year was 18,550. Based on what you said that is about 3.5 months for you! I have to keep things in perspective though. You do this for a living and full time. You also have a fantastic website which helps with more sales. I started tying over 20 years ago for my tournaments. I was always looking for an edge...meaning I wanted colors and designs fish haven't seen before. After winning several tournaments on my jigs my competitors finally found out what I was using and begged for me to tie some from them. Before long and with social media, my passion and hobby became a side business for only personnal freinds and family. Now it has become much more. There is only 4 states my jigs have not been sent to. I love watching you tie and especially your personality. Anyway, can you explain why you reverse wrap your last wrap on your cheniles if indeed that is what you are doing. Like I said you are so fast it's hard to pick out some of the details.
