Beginning at the age of 16, I began my work as organist of Saint Stephen's Anglican Church in Chester Nova Scotia and have gradually continued my growth and skill with the instrument. Although I have partaken myself in many other instruments, nothing else has captivated me as much as the majesty of the pipe organ. I am just beginning university at King's College and will continue my work and passion at their chapel.

Prelude and Fugue in E minor - J. S. Bach - BWV 533

I played a wrong chord in the Prelude and paused unnecessarily in the Fugue but I still hope you enjoy this piece on an organ very fitting to the repertoire!

Just something quick and swift from last Sunday's service. Even though there are 6 verses, I have only played 4 because I wasn't sure how to keep things more interesting with the limited practice time I've had. See you Saturday!
Second of Three Liturgical Preludes by George Oldroyd

Hello! I was quite busy today so this isn't what I actually had planned for today (The Arrival of The Queen of Sheba) so instead, here's another one of George Oldroyd preludes! The 32 foot at the end which I played preceding the final chord for dramatic effect is not really audible on most speakers so for the full effect, wear a good pair of headphones!

Didn't have a lot of time this week due to my other job, so here's one of my old favourites I dusted off! Hopefully I will be soon posting here more often and with more focus/effort, with George Oldroyd making soon another appearance.
Praised Be Thou, Lord Jesus Christ by J. S. Bach - BWV 604

Some simple Bach that I got from the imslp website played with Baroque voicing. It looks quite easy, but there's always a voice/part moving which gives it this sense of always moving forward, with the only reprieve from this being the fermatas which I use to stretch out some of the beats.

One of my favourite hymns to play, but it's not that easy! I've had to prepare for a funeral in addition to Sunday service this week so I haven't been able to get something more impressive ready for today. I hope this delights you, and tell me down below if you would listen to my vocal work as well as my organ... or maybe both at the same time!

This is one of my favourite pieces to play and it can be really fun to play with (aka, ignoring the suggested tempo and tempo markings and just doing what you want). I suggest this piece to literally any organ beginner because of the very easy pedal work! I got covid this week so I have been quite unproductive but I hope this suits you guys. I'm thinking I'm going to start doing shorter more po...

The camera died at the end and there are still some tricky parts but I think this is okay.
Trumpet Voluntary by John Stanley

Just something I like to play, yeah. Still somehow make mistakes I've never made before.
Hey Google and UA-cam, you best be listenin'!
Bravo!!! Well done - your phrasing was "bang on"!!!
Beautifully played. I haven't heard this in decades!
Really good! A beautiful demonstration of this little gem of an organ (DHJ) - good playing too LOL
That was amazing! Also, I really appreciated the angle of the camera so I could see your hands. Thanks for sharing, friend!
Gotta hear some Doors, & Inna Gadda da Vida!
Your videos have been popping up in my recommendations, and you're doing some interesting work. I think it would be great to hear your vocal work as well.
Okay, thank you!
That was beautiful. Just what I needed to calm my anxiety. So good!
Thank you! I hear the bridge might be opening soon, so that'll help too!
@@llewellyndavidson yes. I spoke with the MLA and she said she was told both bridges (small and the one on the 103) would be fixed no later than Monday. Fingers crossed! Currently camped out on mom and dad's couch...not a fun time, lol
Thank you, liked and subscribed. Thank you for your channel and your uploads. What church are these filmed in and in which State? Thank you.
You're welcome! These are filmed at Chester United Baptist Church in Nova Scotia, Canada!
@@llewellyndavidson Thank You
Magnifique!
Very nice
charles John Stanley, 1712 to 1789 blind from the age of 2 onwards. look what he made. His Trumpet Voluntary in D Major is my favorite. counterpoint within the pedal is so fun. Glenn R. Mahnke is the one who has always played it the best
Oh okay, I didn't know that about him. I just found the piece and dusted it off for my university audition. I haven't heard Glenn R. Mahnke play it but I try and put my own spin on it with the articulations, instead of having the trumpet parts all slurred as says the notation. On an unrelated note, thank you for discovering my channel!
you're so talented. this is wonderful. 🤍 ^__^
stunning🥰
mmm organ
this, i cannot stop watching💞🐺
