The Most Ridiculous Benchtop Router Table Build on YouTube!
As you can tell by the title, I am quite aware of how unnecessary most of this work was. However, I wanted this to look a bit better than just a chunk of plywood with legs and I enjoy doing things my way:-)
Big thanks to Banggood for gifting me the routerlift and the fence to make this possible!

Also HUGE thanks to Scott McGowan, the creator and mastermind of the song TRAILBLAZER (4:00-7:16) He generously let me use his music for this video! This guy is nothing but pure talent and is capable of writing music in every genre, although metal and hard rock seems to be his true passion. Do yourself a favour and check out his music:

Your freehand tool skills are olympic level! It’s a pleasure to watch.
Thank you!!
Un coucou de France Cette table est magnifique Bravo
Thank you!☺️
Honestly a shame no plans for this its just incredible. Is it a half inch router you habw this in ?
The router can take 1/2 inch as well as 1/4 inch bits. It is just the matter of switching out the router collet+nut, which takes only seconds.
@@adrianwoodworm oh nice so it could replace my trim router!
Dude you nailed it. 10/10
Thank you Brandon!
I was 3 days away from buying materials to build something like this. No where near as beautiful but functionally similar. Then a Kijiji find of a 12 drawer mastercraft tool chest for $180🇨🇦 saved me hours in the shop and more importantly hundreds in materials
Yeah, sometimes you can get lucky and buy awesome stuff for very little money on places like Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace. $180 is definitely a steal! It took me literally weeks to build my tools chest, so I can see how buying a used one would be an attractive solution! 😁
Excellent innovating in producing an awesome experience whilst transforming pieces of wood into art deco, coupled with clever technology. You have made something practical and useful to all who make things out of wood, which looks like a piece of desirable art. Simple words describe it best, so “Very nice”.
😊thank you!!
Enjoyed the video brother. I'm so new at woodworking that I haven't even tried to build anything yet. Just accumulating some tools and spending hours watching videos such as yours. New sub here. Thanks.
@6ecortes thank you for your support, much appreciated! Everything I know I learned on youtube as well by watching videos for countless hours. I literally started my woodworking journey with a handsaw, hammer, and screwdriver. That was it. I managed to build a small shed for firewood with it, and over the years, I upgraded my tools one by one. You are on the right path my friend😁👍
Pure Artistry! Glad to see another project that we all can tell brought you joy to build and the rest of us joy to watch!
@MJLWoodWorks thank you, I certainly enjoyed this build, and I am glad you did too🙂 cheers!
That’s a nice router table for sure, well done sir
Thank you!
Bravo 👏
Thank you!🙏
Beautiful piece of work ! Now im jealous me and my cheapo pos plastic table lol such a beautiful piece of work all gotta say os daaaaaammmmmm thats sexy coming from my wife!
Your art is beautiful, unique, and flows naturally. The fact that this piece has function seems almost incidental. Impressive. Gorgeous. Inspirational.
Wow! Thank you for the compliment, that is very kind of you!
😍
There's utilitarian, and then there's that. Holy hell.... that is an awesome rig!!! Thank you for sharing this design. A true artist you are.
😄thank you brother!
@adrianwoodworm not sure how versed you are in digital design, but back engineering plans might be something to consider. That set up is really something special
@vulgarwoodworks That is a good idea! Unfortunately, I know nothing about digital design. I still film and edit all my videos on my smartphone, I don't even own a computer or laptop😄 Maybe one day that will change, we will see...
@@adrianwoodworm A smart 'phone IS a computer, but I know what you mean.
😍
Greetings AW, The aesthetic appeal of the router table and the router bits drawers was carefully planned are excellent. Just wondering if the table is stable enough for routing longer and heavier pieces of materials. Thanks for sharing the ideas.
@b-lopez394 fair question, yes it is very stable. One thing that can't be seen in this video is how incredible heavy this router table is. Almost too heavy to carry alone. Just the weight alone makes it stable already.
Liked shared and posted this amazing work to my UA-cam channel community page!!!! Awesome Adrian
@@WedoweeHandyman oh man, that is really kind of you! Thank you for doing this!

I’m more of a utilitarian type but I subscribe to your channel and watch your builds because I respect the skill level you demonstrate, whether it’s building the houseboat or this router table. Thanks for an enjoyable watching experience on Friday night.

As a retired delivery driver, I'd be pissed at co worker and company about damages to products packaging, scammers and foolish people who have nooooooo clue wtf it costs to make, produce, edit, then post these videos the video makers do not get paid enough unless ur in the millions of subscribers I have family and friends that have channels and like u sir struggle to show ur passion and love for your craft, and as for donations if I had it I would be sending u the cash in a heart beat but I don't so I'll just share the videos and hope they get watched shared and enjoyed like I do when I get online, so a super big thank you for taking the time to make these videos and thanks to your family for letting you do this for the rest of us out this way, I know it's not easy but thank you for letting him play, and teach others and yes love the brutal from hip honesty it's best way to be, once things get better my way well let's just a big thanks will be coming, so thank you for the video and as for the router table adaptor and dust collector I like but if I'm gonna pay over $50 and it comes damaged well let me put it this way 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 🤣🤣 gotta keep it clean for the kids out there lol, but anyhow thank you sir !
@JohnSeaward I woke up this morning, checking my UA-cam analytics. It was a bit disappointing to see that I lost a bunch of subscribers with this video, but then I read your comment. Let me tell you, it made my day already! Receiving a comment like this is worth so much more than any add revenue or donation. I can't find the right words to thank you enough for your support John!! (PS:I let my wife read the comment. Eyes big like tennis balls and a loud "WOW!!!" was the reaction😄)
@adrianwoodworm your welcome, and just saying like it is, some people just don't understand the pressures and demands of UA-cam, anyhow it's their loss lol anyhow sir stay strong keep smiling
Thank you for having your channel and share! Sorry you have to start your videos like that. Please keep showing us your beautiful woodwork projects and how you do it!
Thank you! 🙏
This is genius! Above and beyond. I hope your stepson is able to keep this piece as the heirloom it will undoubtedly become.
Thank you!

@mattiasfagerlund Oh my god, I don't even know what to say! Thank you very much for your generosity my friend!
@@adrianwoodworm I meant to send $20 but it was 20SEK instead, which is $2. I don't think that adequately represents the value you've given through your videos, so I tried again. Thank you.
@mattiasfagerlund hey, I was already happy, but now you really have blown my mind, thank you again!!
Thanks!
@BustedKnuckleWoodworks Holy crap!! My first super thanks comment! Thank you so much! 🙏
@ no worries, you deserve it!
Just throwing this out there; if you wanna save some money on royalty free music, I have on good authority that a band you like has a large backlog of tracks they'd definitely let you use (and would make instrumentals for you if you need them) 😜
Wow, that is a great offer!🙏 I will contact you soon per email regarding this if you don't mind.
PREACH!!!! You know how much I have always enjoyed your content since I discovered your OSB cabinet build and absolutely feel your pain when it comes to creating content. Even the low budget, very amateurish content I create takes forever to produce. The editing is the hardest part even with the software I purchased. And putting so many hours into something for it to just fall flat can be upsetting. I had one collaborator, and they kept saying they would send me a link to a coupon code, and I made the mistake of uploading the video with a positive mention and link to their product, but their link/code never worked. Then they stopped communicating with me all together. I do wish you would have been able to discuss how the large YT channel cheated you out of the ad revenue without disclosing the channel's identity. It would have been beneficial to all of us with small channels so we can avoid such a pitfall. With that said, I am looking forward to seeing the router table. Your content deserves a wider audience, and you are a true artist!
@MJLWoodWorks thank you brother! I really wish I could share more details. It is quite the story, but the only way to end the nightmare without a legal battle for years was by signing the non-disclosure agreement. That being said, the case was cristal clear, and my chance of winning it would have been very high. I just felt so drained from all of this that I just wanted it to be over. I am sorry you had a negative experience with a collaborator as well. Don't let them steal your joy, and thank you for your support!!🙏
@@adrianwoodworm hey, I like the bluntness, the straight talk. It's real and there's not enough of it in the world nowadays. All this "soft" talk that is taught to the younger generations as the correct way to express themselves is bull. Call a clown a clown, support the people who deserve it and don't shun people with well thought out opinions. You're upload was a refreshing video to watch. As creators we should create what feel we need to create. If we "buy-in" or "sell-out" (crazy how they are the same thing), we can/will lose ourselves as creators or artists or teachers or just those who are having fun with the medium. Sometimes there's a broad choice. Be a YT businessman or artist. Be true to yourself or sell your soul and embrace that you did. Be well and keep creating!
@MJLWoodWorks couldn't have said it better, amen brother!
1:47 HONESTY!!! The audience doesn't have the right to demand anything of you. We all should remember not to bite the hand that feeds. Way to hold firm Adrian 👏 👏 👏
@vulgarwoodworks I have such a hard time wrapping my head around the entitled mindset of some people... Thank you for tuning in, much appreciated!
Time to get resourceful & creative when it comes to music or tech stuff..... Keep the old job & dump your heart in this by doing whatever it is you love. When people see that "labor of love" going into the projects you do it will be seen & Felt by people as they watch. You can't buy this, it's gotta come from inside & those who watch will pick up on your sincere love/dedication to what you do here. Hearing you state the income vrs expenses was a downer & I happen to believe in you. You've got the whole thing setup & beautiful but I'd say to spend no more money of this..... nope, just pour yourself into projects and you will have people coming. I hope/pray things get better but treat this like a hobby..... all of my hobbies CO$T me lots & I'm not looking for a payback except for the satisfaction of doing what I love.... If you see what I'm saying, I hope you'll try it but if not, I'll still come to watch. peace man
@diggy-d8w thank you buddy, I really appreciate that you took the time to share your thoughts! And thank you for being so supportive, I need more subscribers like you!😄
I see you as a good hard working man just trying to get along in a complex world & you are young yet.... lol, that's a good thing & anyone can blow thru here & "Kick-Arse" and take names but I think you're a force that if you can focus that force like a magnifying glass pin-pointing the sun to start a flame.... You are the "sun" & YT is a magnifier which if it can be focused enough will bring you a fire... keep you warm in winter. I know your heart is deeply into this b/c I see it in the studio you setup. But what I said about people feeling your love for what you do, that's a real dynamic which I can't explain but I know it when I see/feel it. It's like a combination to a lock & You are trying to dial it into a sequence that unlocks it all.... You can do that, just do what you love & it'll flow out like sweat... people are attracted to that & you're the only one who can deliver it . I'll be here anticipating all of it. It's too hard for me but you can make it happen. peace & GB ALL
Good to see you again. I hope you find the inspiration to make beautiful things and film them of course.

wow that's great ! I've never seen this technique. Customized houseboat

great work ! what kind of paint you use for interior walls?

Oh that's really cool info. Great video.
..may i know.. what is the diameter n lenght of ur inflatable tube..tq
Excellent! You were able to convey "elbow-grease" "time consuming" and "hard-work" for anyone that thinks this is an easy task. Very well done. Safe Travels!
I really like the size of your Tipi. What was your tarp size?
I am sorry, somehow I missed your comment, and I just came across it. I am not sure about the size, I bought a roll of used greenhouse plastic from a local tree nursery. My guess is that these rolls are 40 ft wide and 100 ft long. I just cut off a piece of that. I actually completely rebuilt the tipi structure a while ago, I should do an update video on that someday.
Excelente trabajo! Gracias.😊
